At Idealcombi we are now seeking a proactive and structured team leader for our transportation department, who can take responsibility for daily management and ensure efficient transportation planning for our customers in Denmark and in export markets.

About the position

As team leader you will have daily responsibility for the transportation department and our drivers. You will be a central part of daily operations and you will be responsible for ensuring that our deliveries are planned and carried out efficiently, and that customers receive the correct information along the way.

You will be close to the employees and the operational daily life and must be able to maintain an overview, prioritize and make decisions when reality changes. At the same time you will have a leadership role, where you through continuous dialogue, follow-up and development ensure a well-functioning and motivated team.

The transportation department has a large amount of contact across Idealcombi, and you will especially collaborate with production, sales and other internal functions. Therefore it is essential that you communicate clearly and manage to create good collaborative relationships, both internally and externally.

Your primary areas of responsibility will include, among others

• Planning and coordination of driving for both Denmark and export
• Ensure delivery advisories to customers and follow-up on backorders
• Daily management and development of employees in the transportation department and our drivers
• Ensure good coordination and communication with customers, drivers and internal partners

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our management system and relevant personnel policies are followed in the department, and that the team continuously has the right competences to solve the tasks.

Your profile

You are a visible leader who thrives close to operations and the employees. You work systematically, follow your tasks through to the end and have impact when priorities and decisions need to be made.

You do not necessarily need many years of formal leadership experience. The most important is that you have an understanding of transport, logistics or transportation planning and at the same time have the desire and ability to take responsibility for both people and operations.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with transportation planning, transport, logistics or dispatching
• Would be desirable to have a relevant background such as transportation planner, freight forwarder or similar
• Have leadership experience, or are ready to take the next step into a leadership role
• Work systematically and structured and are strong in your follow-up
• Have impact and keep an overview in a busy and changing daily life
• Are good at communicating and building relations across the organization
• Have experience with ERP systems and are familiar with digital tools
• Can communicate in English in writing and speech
