About the job
Do you want to lead the development of the future of local health care?
Odsherred Municipality is at the center of a historic development of the local health care system. As a result of the health reform, Sundheds- og Omsorgspladser Odsherred (SOP places) are being established, and we are now seeking an ambitious and academically strong team leader who will lead the construction and ongoing development of both our new offerings and the acute care nursing service, which we will also operate on behalf of the region.
This is a unique opportunity for you who want to combine strategic leadership, professional development and reliable operations in a position with great influence and high societal significance.
A central leadership role with great responsibility
From January 1, 2027, 26 of Odsherred Municipality's current temporary places will transition to health and care places. The offering will be established as part of the health reform, and Odsherred Municipality will operate the places on behalf of Region Zealand in close cooperation with the region and Holbæk Hospital.
As a team leader you will have overall management responsibility for the SOP places and acute care nursing. You will be responsible for staff, finances, operations, quality, patient safety and professional development, while at the same time becoming a key player in the development of the future of local health care.
You will organizationally be part of the health department and report to the department head. In addition to SOP places and acute care nursing, the department also includes the municipal training team and rehabilitation consultants as well as health advisory services, which among other things handle tasks within citizen- and patient-directed prevention, preventive home visits and incontinence and compression treatment.
Leading a strong multidisciplinary community
You will lead a dedicated and multidisciplinary staff group that works from a holistic view of the person and the ICF framework. The staff collaborate closely with therapists, the intake team, the rehabilitative team, brain injury coordinator, home care and nursing, and the citizens’ relatives.
At the health and care places there will be attached medical competencies and a dietitian, just as we are actively working to create a strong educational environment for nursing students and social and health care apprentices.
As team leader of the health and care places and the acute care nursing you will thus be part of a professionally strong and broad community.
You must set direction and deliver results
Your most important tasks will be to ensure that citizens experience coherent, safe and professionally sound processes.
You must create the framework for high quality in task execution and support strong multidisciplinary collaboration around each citizen.
Your areas of responsibility include, among other things
- Staff management, including well-being, competence development and recruitment
- Financial management and responsibility for the department's resources
- Safe and efficient operations with a focus on quality and patient safety
- Implementation and development of the health and care places as a new offering
- Development and implementation of professional standards, workflows and quality initiatives
- Strengthening cooperation with the region, hospitals, general practice and municipal partners
- Contributing to the strategic development of local health care in Odsherred Municipality
The 26 health and care places are established in two closely located units with 14 and 12 places respectively. The units have historically worked with different target groups. Part of the leader's task will therefore be to lead the fusion of the units and ensure that they become a single entity with a uniform offering across the entire new unit.
One unit has a particular rehabilitative focus, where citizens’ functional abilities, mastery and opportunities to return to their own life and daily routine are central points, while the other unit has had a particular focus on palliation. From 2027, the efforts at all places must align with the Danish Health Authority’s quality standard for health and care places ( link ).
