Technical designer for advanced design and 3D modeling

With Infrastructure Plan 2035 we face a number of construction projects where we shall expand the road network, build cycle paths and establish charging parks. This places high demands on both our technical solutions and the way we work.

Your tasks

Your daily work as a technical designer is varied, where you collaborate with experienced engineers, technical designers and other specialists on construction projects and development of new solutions.

Your main tasks include

• Drawing production: Prepare and update technical drawings for larger and smaller construction projects in cooperation with designing engineers.
• 3D modeling: Be part of the transition from PDF drawings to interactive 3D models, among other things with Bentley's iModel technology.
• ICT: Structure, coordinate and quality assure project data and develop and implement new working methods.
• New technology: Explore and test possibilities to use, among other things, AI to streamline our work.
• Project materials: Prepare technical material for planning, design and tendering.
• Professional tools: Work with MicroStation and ProjectWise as well as perform screenings for, among other things, modular transport traffic with AutoTURN.

Your profile

We imagine you are a trained technical designer with a strong interest in drawing production and new technology. You are quality-conscious and motivated by technically challenging tasks.

In addition, we would like you to

• be curious and proactive about new workflows and technologies
• have experience with technical drawing production in CAD programs.
• have experience with or a strong interest in BIM and ICT.
• have an understanding of 3D models and data handling.
• be structured, quality-conscious and detail-oriented.
• have good collaboration skills and can work independently.

It is an advantage if you have experience with construction projects and knowledge of MicroStation, ProjectWise, iModel or AutoTURN, but regardless of background we will ensure a warm welcome to the position and provide a thorough introduction to the tasks.

You will be employed in the Road Directorate's area of Project and Road Technology, where we work with design and tendering of larger and smaller construction and operational projects.

We are 26 dedicated employees with diverse professional backgrounds, including engineers and technical designers. We have a high level of professionalism and place great emphasis on collaboration, knowledge sharing and a good social community.

We have an informal tone with room for humor and new ideas. We help each other and ensure that you get a good start in your tasks.

The department is distributed across Skanderborg and Fløng, and we have a well-functioning collaboration across service centers.

Your salary and terms of employment

You will be employed and remunerated according to the applicable state collective agreement.

As a technical officer you are employed under the then applicable Common Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organization – The State Area (OAO-S common agreement) and the organization agreement for Technical Officers (Technical National Confederation).

The position is as a rule placed according to your educational prerequisites in accordance with the applicable organizational agreement.

In addition to the base salary there is a possibility to negotiate an individual qualification allowance depending on experience and qualifications.
