About the job

Do you have solid experience in driving IT and digitalization projects safely to completion? And are you good at translating complex technical issues into digital solutions that create value for both citizens and employees? Then you may be our new colleague.

In Rebild Municipality we are looking for a structured, proactive and technically well-founded IT project manager. The position is located in the Digitalization Team, where we have responsibility to support the municipality's digital transformation, optimize workflows and ensure a modern and secure IT infrastructure.

What will you do?

As a technical IT project manager you will play a central role at the intersection of technology, business and end users. Rebild Municipality is a small municipality and therefore you will have a varied everyday life, where your projects span widely. From development and maintenance of the common municipal digital infrastructure to the implementation of new technologies and digital solutions that support the municipality's strategic goals.

You will, among other things, be responsible for the municipality's work with the common municipal support systems and Kitos as well as initiatives within artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Be responsible for development, operation and further development of the municipality's use of the common municipal IT infrastructure and the associated digital platforms.
  • Drive and coordinate the municipality's implementation and use of AI solutions, including identification of opportunities as well as ensuring governance, security and organizational implementation.
  • Lead and drive IT projects from analysis and requirements specification to testing, rollout and final anchoring in the organization.
  • Administer and further develop the municipality's use of Kitos as a tool for IT portfolio management and system overview.
  • Facilitate workshops and act as a technical sparring partner for both management, super users and external partners.
  • Contribute to keeping our finger on the pulse regarding national and common municipal digitization initiatives.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a relevant academic or technical educational background as well as experience from a politically governed organization.

We place emphasis on that you

  • Have strong technical insight – you understand IT architecture, integrations, data models and information security including GDPR.
  • Are process- and change-oriented – you know that successful digitization is as much about people and behavior as it is about IT.
  • Are an experienced project manager – you are familiar with project management tools and methods.
  • Understand the municipal context – you thrive in a politically governed organization where there are many stakeholders and legal requirements to consider.
  • Are a strong communicator – you can translate complex "tech language" into easily understandable speech for the organization's users.

What do we offer?

  • An exciting and challenging position where you have great influence on the municipality's digital development.
  • A strong professional environment with skilled and engaged colleagues who place high value on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • A flexible workplace with a focus on a good balance between work and private life (including the possibility of remote working days).
  • Good opportunities for continuing education and competence development.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026.

Salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement.
