About the job

Are you an occupational therapist or physiotherapist – and would you like to use your professional expertise in a different way?

Tryghedsboligerne i Sundparken are seeking an engaged occupational therapist or physiotherapist who wants to work with rehabilitation, social pedagogy and community – and who dares to apply their professional skills in everyday life where no two days are necessarily the same. You should be able to use your professional skills and think of professionalism in a larger context.

A job that is about more than training

Tryghedsboligerne in the City of Copenhagen is a residential facility for citizens over 65 who have been referred due to loneliness issues. We currently have 23 residents, each with their own apartment and access to common rooms, activities and a community that is a central part of daily life.

With us a workday can include brain gym, communal singing, yoga, social interaction, outings or new activities that arise because a resident has an idea.

The work largely involves facilitating community and activities in close collaboration with the residents and other staff. You should be able to see possibilities in each person while also having an eye for the resident group.

Our work is based on a rehabilitative approach, both individually and at the group level. That means, sometimes it is about bringing a resident into the community, noticing a change in the resident's life or having a chat over a cup of coffee.

You will also be outreach in residents' own homes, where your professional skills can come into play regarding social support, rehabilitation, everyday mastery and attention to the changes that can arise in life. This requires professional curiosity, commitment and the ability to see the person before the task.

You will have space to create

We work dynamically and continually develop both activities and the way we work. Therefore we do not expect you to come with a finished recipe. We expect you to want to help create it.

You will have the opportunity to influence your own workday and the distribution of your hours. Shift planning is flexible and can in periods be adapted to the activities and initiatives underway. It provides freedom, but also requires you to take responsibility and be part of making things happen.

We are looking for someone who

  • is trained as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • wants to work rehabilitatively in a social-pedagogical context
  • is curious about people and about what gives meaning to everyday life
  • dares to take initiative and be proactive
  • can work with both the individual resident and the community
  • can translate your professional knowledge into something that makes sense in the residents' daily life
  • thrives with freedom, responsibility and a workday that cannot always be planned in advance
  • wants to develop both yourself, the residents and our way of working.

We are on the move – and you can help set the direction

One of our next focus areas is to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration. Not only internally at Tryg17, but also in collaboration with the other health actors who are part of the residents' lives.

Here you will have the opportunity to put your therapeutic professional knowledge into play in a way that can make a difference for the individual resident and for the community.

If you are looking for a traditional therapist job, Tryg17 may not be the place. But if you want to use your professional skills broadly, work closely with people, create development and help shape a community that is always in motion, then Tryg17 may be something quite special.

Employment terms

We can offer a permanent full-time position with start on 1 December 2026 or by agreement. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement, and your salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. We will obtain a criminal record check and take references in connection with the recruitment.

If you have previously been employed by the City of Copenhagen, furthermore

If you are considered for a position in a municipal unit, we will check whether you have been dismissed or terminated by the municipality within the last three years and share relevant information with the hiring manager.

This can also include information about criminal offenses that led to termination or dismissal from the City of Copenhagen, information about misuse of drugs such as a positive alcohol test or information about medical history that could be of substantial significance for a new employment in the municipality. This does not apply to employment at a self-owned nursing home. Read more about reference checks here .
