About the job

Do you want to help set the direction for operations management, data usage and analysis? Do you thrive in a professionally strong environment where daily operations and ongoing development go hand in hand? And are you driven by building and maintaining close collaborative relationships? Then you might be our new Head of the Office for Management and Process in the Business Area Companies.

The Business Area Companies is the part of the Debt Administration (Gældsstyrelsen) that ensures the collection of public debt from companies and entities. The area consists of 14 operational units and two coordinating offices, which function as the single entry point to the area. One office is responsible for administration, communications and strategic development, and the other is responsible for production, process and risk management. It is the latter for which we are seeking a Head of Office.

Responsibilities and tasks

As Head of the Office for Management and Process, your primary task will be to support the overall strategy for the area through production management. You will be responsible for follow-up and development of the overall operations management in the area, as well as ensuring ongoing documentation and development of the area’s operational processes, quality assurance and risk management.

You will play an important role in ensuring timely knowledge sharing, coordination and involvement across the area’s operating units. Since the office functions as both entry and exit for the above-mentioned areas of responsibility, it is essential that you can build trusting collaborative relationships at all levels in both the area, the Debt Administration and externally.

You will be a leader with personnel responsibility for 10 professionally skilled employees, and it is expected that you work closely with the Head of the area’s other office, just as you actively participate in the area’s overall leadership group consisting of 15 leadership colleagues.

Leadership profile with experience in process and production management

We emphasise that you

  • Have experience with operations management and data analysis for production management
  • Can apply and translate data to both operational development and strategic progress with a view to value-chain contexts
  • Communicate clearly in both spoken and written presentations; e.g., notes, etc.
  • Are an experienced people leader with a focus on collaboration, skills development and well-being on the path to the results

It is beneficial if you have experience from a similar coordinating leadership role in a larger organization.

Your educational background could be, for example, cand.merc., cand.scient.pol., a tax- or public administration education or another equivalent education supplemented with relevant leadership training. You may also have obtained similar qualifications and competencies through your professional work.

We offer

A varied working day and exciting tasks, where you will become part of the Business Area Companies, which employs about 310 staff distributed across four different locations around the country: Thisted, Randers, Roskilde and Middelfart.

Contact and terms of employment

Applications, CV and diploma should be sent via the link “Søg stillingen” no later than 25 October 2026. If you are a civil servant, address the application to the King.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to send an SMS to phone 72 38 84 44 to Deputy Director Ulrik Pedersen, after which you will be contacted.

We expect to hold interviews on an ongoing basis during weeks 45 and 46. For applicants progressing in the process, a personality profile analysis as well as a logical test will be part of the recruitment process.

Prior to hiring, references, a criminal record check and a debt clearance check will be obtained regarding arrears to the public sector.

Salary and terms of employment are negotiated under the framework agreement for contract employment of executives in the state. The position is placed in salary grade 1, corresponding to salary frame 37. The position is expected to be filled on a permanent basis and employment will take effect on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with associated institutions and report to the Debt Administration’s Deputy Director for Companies. The workplace is Teglgårdparken 99, 5000 Middelfart.
