About the job
We are a stable team of 20 employees seeking 2 colleagues with social work and preferably therapeutic backgrounds, but this is not a requirement. We have room for a new colleague who does not necessarily have experience with family treatment, but you must have experience working with children, youths or families in vulnerable positions.
With us you will have a everyday life where planning goes hand in hand with unpredictability. The position calls for you to have a good knowledge of yourself, and therefore be able to maintain calm, direction and relationships – even when facing resistance. Our work is independent, but always carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and management.
You will become part of a department where the management is close to practice and prioritizes professional sparring, shared direction and social interaction. We are brave in tackling tasks and therefore also dare to make mistakes. We believe in our relationships, as they are the invisible structure that holds us together when the tasks challenge, the tempo is high and we still want to succeed. We are each other’s work environment, and we value a good shared laugh.
In our community we create an engaged and competent work environment, which we consider essential for quality in task execution. We also create change through regular external supervision, regular internal sparring in small groups and ongoing follow-up with a professional coordinator.
We believe that families are best helped with strong cross-professional collaboration, which is why we work closely with our psychologists, contact social workers and the authority department. We also have an eye for cross-sector collaboration with PPR, health nurses, day care, schools and the families’ networks.
No methodology or pedagogical approach can do everything, so in our professional understanding we draw on general educational guidance, neuroaffective development psychology, solution-focused approached, emotion-focused therapy, Sandplay, systemic/narrative thinking and a trauma-informed approach. We are thus not bound by a fixed theoretical framework but instead show a high methodological awareness in our work.
The tasks range broadly from offering concrete pedagogical guidance in the parental role to more insightful family therapy via individual or group-oriented interventions. We also work with families in high-conflict situations as well as families affected by violence and abuse dynamics. We conduct observation and assessment of the family’s interaction, resources and development needs. We also handle cohabitation tasks.
We are two therapists on tasks where it makes sense, and we prioritize a mentoring program in the startup phase. Our work sites are in the families’ homes and in our family houses, and our important administrative gathering point is at the town hall, where our authority colleagues also have offices. Evening work may occur as needed, as well as on rare occasions on weekends.
Our DNA consists of the following
- bringing value to the team by meeting each other with an open mind
- setting high standards for ourselves and each other
- benefiting from shared reflections about task execution
- being inspired and engaged by each other’s knowledge and experiences
- being focused on what we can contribute rather than what we can get
- having trust and knowledge of each other’s strategies
- making an effort to make a difference
- being proud to perform a special kind of work and to be part of our team
Your profile We are looking for someone who
- can independently manage guidance and/or therapeutic courses for parents and children
- has theoretical/methodical knowledge and experience with various intervention forms
- finds value in collaborating with other professional groups
- is not afraid to put themselves and their professional skills on the line
- is precise in written communication
- is aware of your norms, and when they can be an obstacle to professional clarity
- finds it natural to reflect on your practice and meaningful to get sparring on your professional judgments
- thinks professionally creative and dares to take a chance from your starting point
- can laugh at yourself and in the company of your colleagues
- is an empathetic person who possesses the same professional DNA as us
Therefore you should choose us You plan your own working hours in conjunction with what the tasks call for, and we also offer a 4-day flexible work week, where you can freely and continuously from week to week choose whether you want to take Friday off.
You will have access to our free health scheme with e.g. psychologist, physiotherapy, osteopathy and quick doctor consultation.
Salary and employment terms The position requires that you have a driving license and will use your own car when needed. Kalundborg Municipality also has cars that can be booked.
The salary range is DKK 475,000 - 550,000 annually, but is negotiated individually based on your qualifications and your experience.
