About the job

Would you like to work with the green area redevelopment of Denmark? Are you good at collaborating and at expressing yourself in writing?

The Nature Agency's legal team is seeking a lawyer (permanent position) and a lawyer (maternity cover) who will help create a greener Denmark and safeguard Danish nature.

About the job

As a lawyer in the Nature Agency you will be part of a skilled and dedicated legal team, currently consisting of 8 lawyers, 1 law student, and 2 property law assistants, and a large government workplace with many collaboration interfaces.

The legal team functions as an internal law office for Nature Agency's 16 local units and supports the units' work with, among other things, acquiring agricultural land and realizing nature projects that aim to improve nature, climate and the water environment across the country.

You will have an exciting and varied job with flexible working conditions and an informal and positive working environment and high professional standards.

As part of the implementation of the Green Tripartite Agreement, the Nature Agency buys and sells many properties. Your primary areas of work will therefore be:

  • Case processing in matters of purchase and sale of real estate, including preparation of purchase agreements and advising the units
  • Case processing in relation to the agency's participation in land consolidations, disbursement of compensation to landowners etc.
  • Advising in connection with leasing or letting of the agency's buildings and areas
  • Ongoing legal advice to local units and central offices regarding neighborly disputes, partnerships etc.

Tasks are solved in collaboration with experienced and helpful colleagues where relevant. Our land-law assistant helps with settlement and registration of real estate transactions.

About you

You may be a newly graduated cand.jur. or have a couple of years of professional experience, preferably with real estate transactions, commercial or agricultural matters, land consolidation or nature protection.

We place emphasis on you

  • Have a high professional legal level and desire to work with, among other things, purchase and sale of real estate within a state framework
  • Have a practical understanding of the law and good communication skills so you can convey legal assessments clearly and understandably in a practical context
  • Can work independently and have a sense of when other disciplines or colleagues should be involved in the tasks
  • Are structured and meticulous and can work with many simultaneous deadlines
  • Are eager to be an active player in the green area redevelopment and in the restoration of Danish nature

We offer

You will work independently and have an exciting and varied job with the opportunity to develop within a range of legal and business-oriented disciplines in a public agency with a large and complex property portfolio and diverse legal issues.

Here there is a good collegial spirit across units and teams, opportunities for good lunch and many social activities. We highly value good collaboration, and we strive for work to be both enjoyable, meaningful and development-oriented.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable Central Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academics' Collective Agreement).

The employment area is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with its associated institutions. The workplace is the Nature Agency, Gjøddinggård, Førstballevej 2, 7183 Randbøl.

Start date is 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The maternity cover is limited to 30 September 2027 with the possibility of extension.
