The position as sexton at Kyndby-Krogstrup Churches, Kyndby-Krogstrup Parishes is available as of 1 October 2026.

The position is 37 hours per week.

The gravedigger shall undertake the following tasks

·         varetage og være ansvarlig for kirkegårdens vedligeholdelse, gravfæstelser m.m.

·         kirketjeneste ved kirkelige handlinger

·         varetage og være ansvarlig for vedligeholdelse af menighedsrådets andre bygninger m.m.

Kyndby-Krogstrup Sogn has 1,775 inhabitants, 4 employees in the parish. The parish is characterized by two smaller rural parishes that together form the Kyndby-Krogstrup Pastorat.

The church has installed an automatic bell system.

Employment is with the Kyndby-Krogstrup Parish Council located at Kyndbyvej 52, 3630 Jægerspris.

We expect that you

·         have a horticultural education, but it is not a requirement

·         Can plan your own and the helper's workday with understanding of varying workloads and tasks that may arise suddenly

·         Have a sense of order and good situational awareness

·         Are approachable, friendly and service-oriented, and assist visitors to the cemeteries

·         Have a positive attitude towards the church's traditions and function

The appointment is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations (OAO-S) and the Organizational Agreement for church officials with core tasks such as sexton or gravedigger, entered into between the Ministry of Finance and the Union of Church and Cemetery Employees with an accompanying protocol for gravediggers.

Current civil service gravediggers have the right to retain their civil service status upon appointment with direct transfer. In that case, a classification of the position must take place.

It is a condition that the mandatory 5-week training for gravediggers is completed within 2 years of the start of employment.

The position is placed in pay group 2 if you have a horticultural education. The annual salary is agreed within the range of DKK 350,435 – 438,260 (current prices).

There is a on-call commitment to the position. The on-call allowance amounts to DKK 27,246.57 per year (current prices).

The Parish Council's proposed salary level is DKK 350,435 per year for a 37-hour appointment (current prices).

Salary and on-call allowance are quotaed in accordance with the position's appointment fraction. An agreement on placement within the salary range is made between the parish council and FAKK.
