The Rytterkasernen Housing and Support Service is seeking an SSA with an interest in pedagogy and relationship work

We are not exaggerating when we say it feels like coming home to walk through the door at Rytterkasernen. It is truly special to work somewhere where you know the residents so well that you can hear from the weight of their steps what mood they are in. That, without them saying a word, you know whether it is today to set or to meet demands.

At Rytterkasernen eight people with congenital brain injury live, several of whom have psychiatric overtones and physical disabilities and therefore use wheelchairs and lifts. Through home guidance days, structure and weekly plans we support them in living life to the fullest. This means our tasks are diverse and range from assistance with personal care to ordering flex traffic and shopping. In short, everything that is essential for them to live the best possible life.

A multidisciplinary everyday life

As an SSA with us you contribute to medication administration and health observations in Nexus, but it is more the interdisciplinary collaboration and pedagogy that occupy daily life. We have learned that good relationships move things forward and are crucial for cooperation with our citizen group, which can be complex and require courage and tolerance. In return we also promise that you will be rewarded if you engage.

At Rytterkaseren you get a daily life where you never doubt what your task is. We are a small staff group of eight, and we work from an employee handbook with fixed tasks, weekly schedules and a generally fixed structure. We work in day and evening shifts with the possibility of an intermediate shift and holidays. The position is between 32-37 hours by your own choice and with weekend shifts every 3rd weekend or less often. In addition, we are centrally located in Odense with easy access to both public transport and a buzzing city life.

Salary and terms of employment
