Inspection Consultant for Social Supervisory Authority Midt

Socialtilsyn Midt is seeking a supervision consultant for the Foster Care area with start date 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Socialtilsyn Midt approves and conducts operation-oriented supervision of both private and public offerings and foster families within the specialized social field – we supervise about 1100 foster families and 500 social services.

The basis for the social supervisory work is the Act on Social Supervision. The Foster Care area covers the geographic Region of Central Jutland and Faaborg-Medtfyn Municipality.

About the position

Your tasks include supervision of and re-approval of foster families. The tasks are primarily located in the southeastern municipalities of the Central Jutland Region as well as in Faaborg-Medtfyn Municipality. Therefore, a fair amount of travel can be expected. In return, you will get great flexibility in planning your work and the opportunity to build a good knowledge of the foster families in the area

As a supervision consultant you will meet about one day per week in Silkeborg. The other four days you perform supervision tasks or carry out administrative work related to the supervision. The administrative work can be done either from your own home or in Silkeborg.

We are looking for a colleague who at minimum has a medium-length higher education, e.g., social worker/social mediator, pedagogue or another relevant social science education.

Professionally relevant competences

Primary experience within the foster care area, as well as possibly authority work, supervision tasks or other relevant experience.

There will also be emphasis on relevant continuing education at e.g. diploma, master or candidate level.

• As a supervision consultant you will be part of a cross-professional collaboration with skilled colleagues
• You must be able to focus on analyzing, assessing, and describing the professional quality in foster families, which requires good communication skills – both orally and in writing
• Since you also have an authoritative function, you as a professional must be able to navigate in a field where control, quality and quality development go hand in hand
• The job as supervision consultant also presumes that you have knowledge of and experience with social science theories and methods
• You must have the desire and ability to work with IT as your primary work tool

Your tasks

• Conduct operation-oriented supervision and re-approve foster families in accordance with the Act on Social Supervision.
• Engage in dialogue and sparring with the foster families about quality and development
• Obtain information, prepare supervision reports and update the service portal, etc.
• Sparring with colleagues

You should have an affirming, investigative and curious approach to your surroundings and appear credible and trust-building, both internally in the organization and in contact with Socialtilsyn Midt’s many partners. You can and will take responsibility for a positive dialogue during supervision and have clear and explicit communication. You should be willing and able to operate in a field of work that can at times be unpredictable and busy, where an overview and systematic approach are important and necessary competences.

Socialtilsyn Midt is responsible for approving and supervising foster families, social day services and outpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment services located in the Region of Central Jutland and Faaborg-Medtfyn. Socialtilsyn Midt is located at Papirfabrikken 38, 8600 Silkeborg.

Salary and employment terms according to applicable collective agreement and local pay setting agreement.
