Ladegårdsskolen is a special primary school and after-school center for children and young people of compulsory school age located on three sites in the town of Holbæk. We are a school for 120 lovely pupils with reduced physical and mental functional levels. It can be children with multiple disabilities or children with marked developmental disorders within autism spectrum disorders and attention disorders.

Ladegårdsskolen is today under the Child Special Center in Holbæk Municipality, but will become an independent school from the turn of the year and will also consist of a special kindergarten, a Knowledge House and an administrative center.

We are characterized by strong professional standards and high quality in our work with the students' learning, well-being and development. Through development-supportive interaction, professional and social learning we work towards the students developing optimally with joy of life and the greatest degree of independence and self-reliance. We systematically work with several of the recognized methods within the area.

The target group at Ladegårdsskolen are pupils with extensive and complex disabilities who need a highly specialized teaching and leisure offering. The departments are characterized by offering individually tailored teaching in different forms of sheltered physical environments or smaller groups with high staff ratios. Whether you are trained as a teacher or as a pedagogical professional, is irrelevant.

The most important is that you have leadership experience and in-depth experience and knowledge of the specialized teaching area and the school's target group. The staff around the pupils consists of teachers, pedagogues, pedagogical assistants and helpers, as well as associated speech-hearing consultants, pedagogical supervisors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists from the Knowledge House.

We strengthen professional leadership and are seeking two department heads.

You will as department head be responsible for the daily and overarching leadership of a department either independently or in close collaboration with a leadership colleague. You will be the leader closest to the pupils, the parents and the staff in daily life and you must focus on ensuring well-being and development as well as good collaboration and working environment. You will continue to work on strengthening professional leadership and quality at the school. In this work you will not stand alone, as you will become part of the school's overall leadership group with a principal and 6 department heads.

We are looking for a leader who

• has an inclusive view of children and is passionate about making a difference for children and young people with special needs
• has extensive knowledge of the specialized teaching area and can bring it into play in everyday life
• sees themselves as part of a leadership team at a special school with high ambitions and will contribute across to the joint task solution
• has good collaboration skills and can involve and create ownership by setting clear frames and direction
• is presence, visible and can work systematically with goals and tasks
• can ensure a good working environment in collaboration with the triogroup
• thrives just as well with development as well as operational tasks
• is able to navigate periods with very complex tasks, and ensures that everyone reaches a good outcome
• is good at communicating and understands the importance of close collaboration with parents, staff and colleagues.
