About the job

Are you eager to lead a staff group in professional and social development? Are you a hands-on leader who builds strong relationships, and do you feel motivated by working with change management? Then the Robertshøj residential care and day provision may be of interest to you.

Robertshøj is a modern residential and day provision for 30 adults with intellectual disabilities and diagnoses including, among others, autism spectrum disorders and mental health conditions. There are 10 residents on each floor.

Robertshøj is a service in development – we have drawn up an extensive development plan and over the past year launched various initiatives. In other words – the direction has been set – but we need you to help support and implement the development plan and the initiatives. We work from a holistic approach with a common focus on the resident’s quality of life, self-determination and individual needs. We place a strong emphasis on professionalism, presence and collaboration.

Robertshøj is part of the Multiple area in the Center for Long-Term Housing (CLB), where we continually work to develop and create even better conditions for the residents. Read about Center for Long-Term Housing | Socialjob

We are currently seeking

  • a department head for 4th floor, where residents with mild to severe intellectual disabilities and varying support needs live – we focus on relationships, voice in their own lives and participation in communities
  • a department head for 5th floor, where residents with autism live – we focus on structure, relationship-based pedagogy and independence

You will be responsible for your own department, and together with your two department head colleagues you will work closely to create a well-functioning Robertshøj, for both residents and staff. You will also receive strong support from Robertshøj’s social and health professionals coordinators.

Will you lead the way in good collaboration?

A key task will be to support and develop an engaged staff group through change – both professionally and socially – with a view to strengthening fellowship, well-being and professional pride. You must be able to unite the staff and be a clear and motivating leader.

Robertshøj is at the center of a professional transition to LA2U as a fixed integrated method. In addition, neuropedagogy (we call it SundNeuro) is a common approach at Robertshøj and in our area, Multiple.

Wide leadership scope and sparring with leadership colleagues

Your immediate supervisor will be the residential care leader Kenneth Oxenbøll. You will have diverse tasks and a broad leadership mandate in a trusting collaboration with Kenneth.

In daily practice you will also work closely with the department heads from the Residential Facility Jacobshøj, located in the same building. We have, among other things, introduced daily check-in meetings for leaders across the two facilities, giving us a good overview, knowledge sharing and unity. It is therefore important that you see the house as a single entity. Ability and willingness to collaborate across boundaries is a core value that you actively must help support and develop.

Your tasks and areas of responsibility

  • daily operations and personnel management with focus on well-being, low sickness absence, development and engagement – you will be supported, among others, by the region’s HR partner regarding sickness absence and other initiatives
  • develop and maintain the good cooperation and communication with relatives
  • ensure a high professional standard through sparring, supervision and reflection in collaboration with our social and health coordinators
  • participate in implementing initiated pedagogical methods and approaches with a focus on professionalism, cooperation and neuropedagogy
  • support a safe and good working environment
  • sustain and further develop a culture based on collaboration, respect and openness

We are looking for a leader who

  • has a degree in pedagogy, social work or nursing, and regardless of your background you understand the importance of both pedagogical and health-related tasks
  • has experience from the specialized area and familiarity with eligibility/visitation processes, and if you know the target group that is a big plus
  • has worked with pedagogical methods and preferably LA2U and possibly neuropedagogy
  • has leadership experience and perhaps a relevant management education at diploma level or equivalent, and otherwise we offer a diploma in leadership
  • is outgoing, motivating and good with relationships, and at the same time able to make the necessary and sometimes difficult decisions
  • works in a structured way and follows up on tasks to completion
  • can provide both professional and personal sparring to employees dealing with complex tasks

We warmly welcome you

We offer that you

  • you receive a thorough onboarding program
  • you become part of an engaged leadership team with room for sparring, development and good laughter in everyday life – in addition to your closest supervisor colleagues you will also become part of a larger department head network across Multiple
  • you become part of a working environment where we prioritise collaboration, innovation and well-being

Employment terms

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. You will, among other things, have a company phone under a shared arrangement with your leadership colleagues (approximately every 7 weeks).

We will conduct references and a criminal record check before employment.

The position is full-time with start on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
