About the job

Would you like to be part of a small kindergarten with a big heart, strong communities and room for professional development?

In Sneglehuset Ulfborg we want to continue strengthening our pedagogical professionalism and staffing norms so we can create the best possible framework for the children's wellbeing, development and sense of community.

Therefore we are looking for two trained educators at about 30 hours per week who are passionate about working with children and want to become part of our community.

We are a small private kindergarten with space for 14 infants and 21 preschool children. With us, we know each other across the house, and we value the close relationships between children, parents and staff. With our location close to the facility, shelter area and the scout house, nature is a natural part of our everyday life, where there is room for play, movement and small and large experiences.

A small house with room for big ideas

One of the special things about Sneglehuset is that we are a small kindergarten where there is room for each child and we follow the children's initiatives. In Sneglehuset, safe and trusting relationships are the foundation of our pedagogical work. We meet the children at eye level, are curious about their perspectives and work consciously to create inclusive children's communities where all children feel they belong.

Play has a central place with us, and we are strongly focused on both the inherent value of play and our role as adults in supporting the children's wellbeing, development, learning and formation.

With a basis in the strengthened pedagogical curriculum we continuously work on developing our pedagogical learning environment. We value professional reflection, curiosity and the courage to be our own practice in play.

With us there is room for both professionalism, diversity, spontaneity and lots of laughter

We are looking for you who

  • Are an educated educator and passionate about creating a safe, caring and development-focused daily life for the children.
  • Meet children, parents and colleagues with presence, acknowledgement and curiosity.
  • Have an eye for both the individual child's needs and the importance of strong children's communities.
  • See play as an important part of children's development and dare to place yourself in the game as an active and engaged adult.
  • Work professionally reflective and want to contribute to the development of our pedagogical practice.
  • Can create structure and safe frames, but at the same time are flexible and can follow the children's initiatives.
  • Take responsibility and contribute to good collegial collaboration and have room for both humor and diversity.

We believe that different people and professional perspectives help create a strong work community. Therefore we value the experiences, competencies and ideas you bring with you.

Whether you are newly qualified or experienced, the most important thing for us is that you have your heart in the work and want to develop together with us.

What do you get with us?

  • A group of wonderfully kind children and engaged parents.
  • A small and close kindergarten with approachable and committed colleagues.
  • A workplace with room for professional sparring, reflection and development.
  • Freedom with responsibility and the opportunity to shape the everyday pedagogical life with your own ideas.
  • A workplace where we value wellbeing, humor, smiles and good spirits.
  • An engaged board and a local community that supports Sneglehuset.

With us, there is not a long way from thought to action, and we believe that professionalism and job satisfaction go hand in hand.
