Two ambitious child and youth counselors wanted

Do you have the courage and professional competence to drive development in the families of vulnerable children and youths? Can you assess the needs of children and young people for help and initiate interventions that ensure better well-being? Are you ambitious on behalf of the children and families? The Family Department in Albertslund has, with the 2027 budget, the opportunity to increase the headcount with two additional child- and youth-advisers as part of strengthening the authority’s case management.

With the two new advisers, we will strengthen especially the follow-up on initiated interventions and ensure the effectiveness of the work.

The new positions

The new positions will be established in our “Children and Youth team,” which handles mappings, investigations, preventive interventions, follow-up and guidance for vulnerable children and youths. With the staffing increases, we will have an average caseload of 25 children/young people per full-time adviser. The tasks are characterized by close collaboration with the children and youths and with their parents. We solve our tasks in cooperation with the general services area and a wide range of internal and external partners.

The Family Department is a unit that enjoys socializing during breaks and who gladly uses any occasion for coziness, coffee, cake and conversation. The Children and Youth team consists of two groups, which have developed a common professional approach to the tasks and a shared service level. We support each other in daily operations and develop together.

• Are good at articulating yourself in writing and orally
• Are ready to engage in difficult conversations with children and parents and take responsibility for making a difference in the child’s life
• Want to join and strengthen the professional community in the team and in the department

We plan an introduction that takes your prerequisites and needs into account and at the same time introduces you to the tasks and to our partners. You will work closely with your colleagues in the team, participate in the community within the department and have the opportunity to make your mark on the efforts for children and parents. We have external supervision attached and are focused on supporting each other in the tasks.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary placement occurs after negotiation between the municipality and the negotiating organization. The positions are 37 hours per week. The workplace is Albertslund Town Hall, Nordmarks Allé 1, 2620 Albertslund, where many of our closest partners are also based. It is part of Albertslund Municipality’s recruitment policy to promote diversity and equality.
