Development Consultant for the Rural District Team

Skive Municipality seeks a development consultant to be part of the work.

You will be employed in City, Land & Climate, which the Rural District Team is part of. The team consists – in addition to an upcoming new development consultant – of a team leader, two development consultants and an administrative employee who works with the development of rural districts in close collaboration with citizens, civil society, external partners and the municipality's other departments.

You will join a small but engaged team with diverse professional backgrounds and profiles. The team is highly focused on co-creating and driving development in the rural districts through presence, co-creation and “outreach” democracy. We work on the principle that citizens are experts on the good life in their local community, and that we do not do the work for the citizens, but with the citizens.

The tasks handled in the team range widely and cover everything from serving the committees, processing grant applications and case presentations to dialogue and sparring with local actors, citizen involvement and network activities, to area renewals, tourism as well as various processes and collaborative projects related to rural development.

As a development consultant your tasks will include

• Advise, inform about and process cases on grants in Skive Municipality connected to the team.
• Work with a wide range of development processes and projects, including the team's work with developing area profiles in local areas and tourism development plans.
• Work with area renewals.
• Participate in serving the Rural District Committee: a committee consisting of politicians and citizens with a special focus on rural district development.
• Handle communications and press releases etc. in relation to activities in the rural districts.

Position will give opportunity to help shape and develop the tasks. We expect you to be development-oriented regarding work with the municipality's rural districts and at the same time be able to work structurally with case handling, citizen inquiries and operations-related tasks. In other words you should thrive both sitting behind a desk and driving larger and smaller processes with citizens.

You must be good at collaborating both internally and externally, so the Rural District Team is experienced as a close, inclusive and solution-oriented collaboration partner that contributes to creating the best possible framework for the region's development.

The Rural District Team is organizationally part of City, Land and Climate. We have our workplace in Den Blå Diamant, which is a modern, open and energy-efficient office building centrally located in Skive.

Weekdays are characterized by many balls in the air and deadlines, but also by community, helpfulness and good humor. We offer a good working environment with the possibility of remote work two days a week. We imagine that you have an academic background or have experience in the area from previous jobs. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation based on your qualifications and relevant experience. This is a permanent position with the earliest possible start, no later than February 1, 2027.
