About the job

Employment Market and Youth Center, Sick Leave Benefits

Do you want to help shape the future sick leave benefit efforts?

Ringsted Municipality's Employment Market and Youth Center is expanding and therefore seeks 2 engaged and professionally strong employment counsellors for our Sick Leave Benefits team.

We are an ambitious team with high professional standards and a strong focus on delivering results for both citizens and businesses. At the same time, we are already well underway with implementing the new rules and the new employment reform, which puts an even greater focus on early intervention, employer involvement and retention in the labor market.

This means you will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting development process, where we together develop new working methods, strengthen our competencies and translate the reform's intentions into concrete practice.

Do you want to make a difference for citizens on sick leave and contribute to their path back to working life? Then you might be the person we are looking for as our new employment counsellor.

About the job

You will be part of a dedicated sick leave benefits team, where the core task is to support citizens' fastest and best possible return to the labor market.

We work with early screening and early intervention, and we involve employers early in the process. Therefore we conduct roundtable conversations and actively work with retention initiatives, gradual return, and dialogue with employers about escalation plans and other solutions that can support employment.

The position includes sick leave benefit cases.

We are looking for 2 colleagues who are passionate about employment efforts, have a strong labor market focus and can combine professionalism, authority and relationship work in encounters with citizens.

Who are you

We imagine that you

  • Can build trust and motivate citizens from both employment and social perspectives
  • Thrive with the authority role and are comfortable making decisions
  • Focus on possibilities rather than limitations and can support the citizen's connection to the labor market
  • Are professionally curious and motivated by contributing to the development of both practice and professionalism
  • Want to try new methods and workflows
  • Have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to the community
  • Can work in a structured, independent manner and maintain focus in a day with many deadlines
  • Have insight into the employment field and understanding of the labor market conditions
  • Have knowledge of administrative law and the regulatory framework in the area
  • Are strong in both oral and written communication
  • Are able to create momentum and ensure a coherent process for the citizen
  • Are mentally resilient

It is advantageous if you have experience from the sick leave area or other authority work within employment.

In addition we imagine that you

  • Have an education as a social worker, social mediator or other relevant education
  • Keep yourself professionally updated and are interested in ongoing competence development
  • Have a driver's license (category B)

About the team

You will be part of a sick leave benefits team consisting of 14 employment counsellors, a professional coordinator, administrative staff, two student assistants and a department head.

We place a high value on professionalism, development and job satisfaction. Therefore we continuously prioritize competence development, shared professional discussions and sparring across the team. We believe that high well-being and strong results go hand in hand, and we actively work to create a work environment characterized by trust, cooperation and professional curiosity.

We offer

  • A meaningful job where you make a real difference for citizens and businesses
  • Opportunity to influence the development of sick leave benefit efforts in a time of big changes
  • A high degree of independence and responsibility
  • Strong professional community and ongoing sparring
  • Focus on competence development and professional updating
  • Flexible working hours
  • Flexible Friday and the possibility of home working after further agreement
  • An active staff club

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 28.10.2026.

There may be collected child and/or criminal records certificates in connection with the employment.

It is part of Ringsted Municipality's hiring policy to promote gender equality and ethnic equality. We encourage both people with Danish and other ethnic backgrounds to apply for the advertised position.

We look forward to receiving your application.
