Teacher and facilitator for Super10 - with a focus on the individual and keeping an eye on the big picture

Are you attuned to the individual young person - and at the same time able to keep the big picture in view?

UNG VARDE is looking for a teacher for Super10, who also takes a central role across our teaching offers as a facilitator/coordinator.

This is not a completely ordinary teaching position.

We are looking for you who thrive close to the young people and are keen to be where coordination, organization and coherence are created. You must be strong in the classroom – and at the same time be willing to take responsibility for processes, pedagogical direction and the many threads surrounding our young people.

Part of your everyday life will be in Super10 – our specially tailored 10th grade program for vulnerable young people who need something other than the traditional school form. At the same time you will have a central coordinating function across Super10 and Kraftværket .

You must be a teacher – and able to do something special with our young people

You are a trained teacher with mathematics as a major subject – and preferably English as well. You have experience with the target group and know that the relationship is often a prerequisite for our success with the academic content.

In Super10 you will teach and help create a safe, structured and meaningful school day with a focus on the individual young person’s academic, personal and social development, where individual module plans are used.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that documentation, agreements and plans regarding the young people are in place and followed through. Knowledge of Hjernen & Hjertet is an advantage.

You will become a central entry point to Super10 and Kraftværket

You will be responsible for coordinating inquiries about potential students to both Super10 and Kraftværket.

It is you who handles the inquiry, conducts the initial screening and assessment, collects relevant documentation and coordinates conversations with the young person, parents, school and other professionals. You drive the process from the first inquiry to clarification and possible enrollment – in close collaboration with the head of UNG VARDE.

You also have responsibility for visibility and presentation of Super10 and Kraftværket at the municipality’s schools and to relevant partners.

A role close to management

As the facilitator you will have a significant coordinating and pedagogical role around Super10 and Kraftværket.

You must be able to set academic direction, coordinate, create momentum and follow up – and take leadership of the task without having formal personnel responsibility.

• are a trained teacher with mathematics as a major subject and preferably English
• have experience with and understanding of our particular target group
• are strong relationally and can build trust with young people and parents
• work in a structured way and have an eye for both people and processes
• are administratively strong and know Hjernen & Hjertet
• can collaborate confidently with schools and other professionals
• take responsibility, create overview and follow tasks through to the end.

In short, we are looking for you who can be close to the individual young person and at the same time lift your gaze and create coherence across .
