SOSU Syd has just opened Social | Pedagogical Assistant at Campus Ahlmann in Sønderborg - a pedagogical assistant education oriented toward the adult social sector, developed in close collaboration with Sønderborg Municipality. Now we are seeking a teacher who will help shape the education and set the direction from the start.

At the Pedagogical Assistant Education at SOSU Syd we are a small team of highly engaged and energetic instructors who have ambitions on behalf of the students, the teaching and the education.

With our strategic efforts for the education, we have a clear ambition to raise the quality in the pedagogical field. We want to give our students a strong professional identity, relational competence, theoretical knowledge and practical experience, so they can contribute to increased well-being, learning and development for all target groups.

Increasingly municipalities choose to hire PA students, not only in general education but also in offerings for adults with disabilities and in care homes, where they contribute to strengthening well-being and creating meaningful everyday environments. Therefore, the pedagogical assistant education at SOSU Syd must be agile and aligned with the future trends in pedagogical practice.

About you

• You are educated as a pedagogue and likely have a medium-length or long higher education degree within the pedagogical field.
• You have broad experience of at least 5 years within the pedagogical field, preferably with work with adult citizens in the social and disability sector, and you keep yourself updated on the latest research in the pedagogical field.
• You have a Diploma in Vocational Pedagogy or are prepared to undertake it.
• You have insight into what it means to work with citizen involvement and based on the citizen's own resources and desires.
• You are prepared to work with learning processes and pedagogical methods and have an eye for differentiating pedagogical and didactic approaches.
• You have an interest in digitization and welfare technology and can see their strengths and application possibilities in the pedagogical field.
• You have good collaboration skills and a desire to help shape Social | Pedagogical Assistant education in close dialogue with practice.

About the tasks

• Teaching primarily on Social | Pedagogical Assistant Education at Campus Ahlmann in Sønderborg.
• Development of holistic learning pathways in close collaboration with other teachers.
• Pedagogical development work based on a fixed strategic framework, sparring and team meetings.
• Homeroom teacher for students.
• Teaching on the other cohorts of the pedagogical assistant education; teaching tasks across the school's other programs may occur.
• Collaboration with the students' employing authorities, including Sønderborg Municipality as a close partner.

About SOSU Syd

The Social and Health School South is a self-governing vocational education institution under the state with about 130 employees. We work focused on our strategy, which can be felt in the school's daily life. We are a dynamic organization where not only students and participants learn, but where we as a school also learn and develop.

We practice becoming a hybrid organization, so we work both at the school, from home and where it makes sense. Salary and terms of employment

The primary workplace is at Sundhedscampus Ahlmann in Sønderborg, as well as at the school's address in Aabenraa.

The school uses private MitID for identification, which you must be prepared for.

You must provide your own car for external tasks. Travel allowance is provided according to the state's rates.

In connection with the appointment, a child and criminal record check will be obtained.

Appointment: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Contract terms: 37 hours per week or as agreed.

Salary: In accordance with the applicable collective agreement for Managers and Teachers (SOSU) CO10.
