Job Center Varde seeks Youth Consultant for Ungeløftet

Are you passionate about making a difference for young people aged 15 to 29?

We are seeking a youth consultant for Ungeløftet, 37 hours per week, from January 1, 2027.

Ungeløftet is a nationwide initiative designed to help youths between 15 and 29 enter the labor market and the community.

As a youth consultant you will primarily work with youths in the target group for ”Flere unge skal med”, and your task is to support young people without a job or education in obtaining employment. The initiative also places a strong emphasis on collaboration with companies, which is a major part of the job.

You will become part of a strong team of 4 colleagues, and in Ungeløftet in Varde we have the following focus areas:

• IPS
• Flere unge skal med
• Leisure guidance

In the Job Center we are about 120 employees spread across 6 departments. As an employee in the Department of Youth and Integration you will work with 23 colleagues. Our primary target groups are Youth receiving cash benefits, Youth in the Ungeløftet target group, and citizens in the Integration target group, both unemployed and self-sufficient.

We can offer you good collaboration with experienced and dedicated colleagues who focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration and a coherent effort. We work from a common core task.

About you

• Your background is as a social worker
• You preferably have experience as a business consultant and possibly from Ungeløftet
• You see the value in paid hours making a difference for the young person
• You work in a supportive manner with motivating conversations
• You can engage in dialogue with the citizen and develop concrete plans together with the citizen and other relevant partners or companies.
• You have good collaboration skills and master interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, both internally and externally

The core task at Job Center Varde is to ensure the municipality's businesses have qualified labor and to help people as best as possible – regardless of age and functional level – toward self-sufficiency based on the value that this indeed provides quality of life. In very special cases, this may not be possible, and then the task, as far as possible, is to ensure the individual a financial foundation.

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
