About the job

HDS

Magleblik School is growing – both in the general and special education areas – and therefore seeks skilled, relationship-oriented and professionally engaged teachers for our upper grades (6th–9th grade).

We are looking for a teacher with competencies within HDS – preferably complemented with English or German. There is the possibility for both full-time and part-time employment.

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about creating strong learning communities, inspiring teaching and good relationships with the students. Do you thrive in close team collaboration and see opportunities in an active and practical teaching approach, Magleblik School may be the right place for you.

About Magleblik School

At Magleblik School we believe that all children can succeed. We also know that some students must work harder, receive more support and face higher expectations than others to get there.

Therefore we are looking for a teacher who is passionate about both subject matter and relationships. A teacher who insists that students’ backgrounds should not determine their life opportunities, and who wants to help break the cycle of social disadvantage through strong teaching, clear communities and high expectations for all.

With us you become part of a school where we work purposefully to raise students’ academic level and well-being. We are ambitious for the students because we know that our work makes a difference.

Magleblik School is a development-oriented school with a focus on active, engaging and practical learning. We value strong relationships, clear classroom management and close professional collaboration highly.

Our view of children is the foundation for everything we do

Children can be in trouble – but they are never the problem.

We work purposefully with learning environments, well-being and opportunities for all students to participate. At the same time, we are proud of our high well-being scores among both students and staff.

In recent years we have, among other things, worked with the curriculum renewal’s assessment tasks, developed and implemented our own language and reading strategy, and strengthened mathematics teaching through advisers and subject committees. We develop together – and we expect new colleagues to contribute to ongoing development.

Your tasks

You will, among other things

  • plan and conduct inspiring teaching with a focus on learning, motivation and participation
  • actively participate in team work around students’ academic and social development
  • be a clear and caring adult with strong relationship skills
  • involve students’ perspectives in the teaching
  • work in a practice-oriented way and create coherence between theory and reality through varied teaching methods

We expect that you

  • are a trained teacher
  • are keen to work with students in the upper secondary (6th–9th grade)
  • have experience with or an interest in students with different prerequisites and needs
  • can create safe and development-oriented teaching environments
  • work relationally, respectfully and professionally
  • focus on well-being, learning and clear classroom management
  • are academically curious, reflective and ambitious
  • thrive in a committed collaboration and take joint responsibility for the community
  • see the student perspective as an important part of developing the teaching

With us you get

A strong collegial community

  • close team collaboration
  • focus on both student and staff well-being
  • professional sparring and knowledge sharing
  • engaged and helpful colleagues
  • a spacious, humorous and welcoming staff room

Good development opportunities

  • an open and respectful work environment characterized by engagement and development
  • opportunity for professional and pedagogical development
  • good facilities for movement and practical teaching
  • opportunity to participate in Halsnæs in Motion (HIB)

A strong support system

  • access to special education consultants, prevention consultants, PPR and mid-form consultants
  • close collaboration on the learning environment and structure
  • a present and accessible leadership team

Employment terms

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The base salary for the lowest salary grade is 39,293.85 DKK/month before pension. In addition, qualification and functional supplements can be agreed upon.
