Urdu-speaking employee sought for a 21-year-old woman

Would you like to create a secure relationship and support a 21-year-old woman in active and enjoyable experiences? We are looking for an educator who speaks Urdu and who can combine relationship work with play, movement, and clear boundaries.

About the assignment

You will be a regular support for a 21-year-old woman with developmental delay and cognitive and physical disabilities. Her cognitive development level is assessed to be around that of a 7-year-old, and she enjoys play, movement, and activities tailored to her needs and developmental level.

In the beginning, the time together will primarily take place at home so you can get to know each other and build a secure relationship. The goal is that over time you go more out of the house and do activities together. This could include trips to the playground, badminton, cinema, indoor playgrounds, or other physical activities.

Your task is to offer pedagogical support and create clear and predictable boundaries around the time together. She may have difficulty regulating her emotions and anticipating the consequences of her actions. Therefore, she needs you to meet her calmly and help create structure, redirect, and find calm when something becomes difficult.

The purpose of the support is, among other things, to strengthen her possibilities for making contact with others and participating in leisure activities.

About you

You are a trained pedagogue and have experience with 1:1 support and relationship-building. You can create a secure relationship while also setting clear and predictable boundaries around the activities.

It is important that you can meet the woman with a calm and respectful approach and are willing to actively participate in play, movement, and outings.

It is a requirement that you can communicate in Urdu.

Working hours

The position is 3 hours per week.

You work regularly on Fridays from 12:00 to 15:00.
