Vadum School seeks a Danish, home economics and physical education teacher for a maternity leave substitute

Vadum School and DUS are located in Vadum town, 10 km northwest of Aalborg. Vadum has an active local community where the school and DUS have a close collaboration with an engaged parent group, other institutions and associations in the town.

Vadum School is an ambitious and well-functioning school with about 325 students and 50 dedicated staff.

We need a maternity-leave substitute who can teach Danish, home economics and physical education at the intermediate level

In our pedagogical/didactic practice we are very focused on work with participatory didactics. It is important for us to work on creating participation opportunities for all children - both in our teaching and daily life at school in general. At present we are working on being sharp about different learning processes and interventions in this practice. At the collaboration level we are starting to develop our meeting structure and practice, through efforts around PLF across the whole school.

We would very much like you to be strong in classroom management and in a close school–home collaboration, where you focus on maintaining a close dialogue with the parents. You are structured and clear to the children regarding your teaching and your expectations of them.

• Sætter pris på et tæt forældresamarbejde
• Er i stand til at reflektere pædagogisk og didaktisk

The practical

• Ansættelse: 7/11-2026, eller hurtigst muligt derefter (sluttidspunkt ukendt, da der er tale om et barselsvikariat)
• Ansøgningsfrist: 25/10-2026
• Udvælgelse af kandidater til samtaler: 27/10
• Ansættelsessamtaler: Tirsdag 3/11, efter kl. 14.00
• Løn og ansættelsesvilkår efter gældende overenskomst med DLF
• Forud for endelig ansættelse indhentes straffe- og børneattest.
