About the position

We are seeking a workshop assistant for the concrete task of collecting “abandoned” bicycles in Vestegnen.

The work takes place on request from institutions, housing associations and public areas and in cooperation with the Vestegnens Police.

The task is part of the municipality's work activation, and you will therefore work closely with unemployed citizens in activation.

There will also be other incidental tasks at the Workshop, which in principle require good physical fitness.

Your main tasks will be

• Pickup (loading and unloading of bicycles) with a truck and trailer
• Planning and coordinating pickup routes
• Other physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
• Collaboration with activated citizens, including instruction and guidance of task completion
• Employment dialogue and “side-by-side” talk with citizens during work

About you

It is essential that you

• Are physically robust and can handle repetitive lifting tasks
• Have a category B driving license (preferably C1 and E)
• Can work independently and plan the task solution
• Are good at building relationships and meeting people with respect
• Have a natural interest in people and can motivate through dialogue
• Thrive in a role where you are both practically performing and supportive

Experience from the employment, social or workshop area is an advantage but not a requirement.

Employment terms

• 12 hours per week distributed over 3-4 days.
• Working hours are arranged flexibly according to the task during daytime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
