Maintenance Technician for Energy Plant – Hjørring at Nordværk Affaldsenergi A/S

Do you want to help ensure operation and maintenance of an energy plant that produces heat and electricity from waste incineration? Do you also want to take responsibility for a workshop focused on task execution and ongoing improvements? Then you might be the colleague we need at the Energy Plant in Hjørring.

At our Energy Plant in Hjørring we convert waste from both businesses, private individuals and hospitals into electricity and district heating and ensure that the residues are handled in an environmentally safe manner. You will play an important role in ensuring that the plant runs stably, safely and efficiently with a focus on ongoing maintenance and future-proofing of the plant within your own area of responsibility.

About the job

As a maintenance technician you will be part of the team responsible for the tasks that fall under repairs and preventive maintenance. You work closely with the maintenance manager and coordinator as well as other colleagues and ensure that the tasks are completed efficiently and with a high level of professionalism.

Your tasks will include

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and log them in the Sertica maintenance program
• Be area responsible for our slag systems, including during revisions
• Diagnose and correct defects in your own main discipline and assist colleagues in the maintenance team as needed
• Contribute to tasks related to environment, occupational health and safety and statutory inspections
• Handle ad-hoc tasks, participate in coordination at morning meetings and - depending on your qualifications - take responsibility for tasks that match your competences

About you

We imagine you have a crafts background, e.g., as a blacksmith, ship fitter or similar, and have good technical understanding. You have an eye for connections and can see the whole in larger maintenance projects and revisions.

As a person you are flexible, solution-oriented and good at keeping an overview, even when there are many tasks ongoing. You thrive on taking responsibility, both for tasks and for collaboration with colleagues, trainees and subcontractors.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have

• Experience with maintenance and fault finding on technical plants
• Experience with classic metalworking tasks, including various welding types and machining of steel
• IT understanding and familiarity with maintenance systems
• Forklift license
• Category B driving license (requirement)

Salary and terms of employment

• Expected start date: 1 January 2027
• Working hours: 37 hours per week
• Salary according to qualifications and the applicable collective agreement
