Versatile and structured mathematics teacher for 3rd grade at Stengård School

Then turn your attention to Stengård School's 3rd year group. We are seeking a mathematics teacher who can also teach in science/technology and other subjects in the year group.

Stengård School is located in Gladsaxe Municipality with short distance to public transport, Bagsværd Lake, forest and sports facilities. Our primary section is newly renovated, and the rest of the school will follow soon. We have a welcoming atmosphere and actively work to create good conditions for both pupils and staff.

We work to develop life-capable children and youths. We do this through close collaboration between teachers, pedagogues and our cross-professional team, which among others consists of psychologists and resource persons.

With us you are never alone

We place the professional learning communities high. You will become part of a team with fixed, weekly meetings, and you have time in the timetable to prepare teaching together. A large part of teaching is parallel-scheduled, so you can plan, carry out and develop the teaching together across the classes.

In the 3rd year group we have a Co-teacher scheme , which means that in Danish and mathematics there will always be at least three teachers present across the year group's two classes – and often four. It provides good opportunities to spar with each other, closely follow the students' academic development and plan teaching with attention to the students' different needs and potentials.

For us, team collaboration is about more than joint planning. It is also about being able to discuss a challenge with a colleague, gain new perspectives and find solutions together. You are therefore not alone with either teaching or the academic and pedagogical challenges that can arise in everyday life. We believe that the best solutions are created close to practice, and that everyone's expertise and ideas matter.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a mathematics teacher who can also handle science/technology and preferably other subjects in the 3rd year group, for example Christianity, English or creative subjects. The final timetable we will determine together based on the year group's needs and your competencies.

We imagine that you are academically well-founded, have an eye for students' different prerequisites and enjoy developing the teaching together with your colleagues. You value structure, common agreements and close collaboration. If you also have a good sense of structure and a desire to contribute positively to our academic and social community, you would be a good match.
