We are looking for another veterinarian for our hospital and emergency team

As we are in continued growth, we are seeking a new colleague for our hospital and emergency team. The tasks are very varied and include consultations as well as reception of patients that are referred with acute problems. In addition, one is part of the team that examines and treats our admitted patients, including both medical patients, trauma patients and admitted surgical patients.

The team currently consists of 6 veterinarians, including among others 1 diplomat in internal medicine, a master in internal medicine and a master's student in emergency medicine. Naturally, close collaboration with other disciplines such as ophthalmology, oncology, cardiology, neurology, dermatology, imaging diagnostics and surgery. The physical premises are an approx. 2000 m2 newly built animal hospital with all imaginable aids, including fully in-house laboratory and MRI- and CT-scanner.

We are seeking a colleague who is professionally engaged especially within the medical field and who either has documented continuing education or is interested in in the long term pursuing, for example, a master's/certificate in internal medicine/emergency medicine. As we are a large house with many colleagues, and extensive contact with both clients and referring veterinarians, good teamwork and communication skills are a prerequisite.

AniCura Aarhus Animal Hospital is the countrys first pure emergency and referral hospital and we therefore do not provide preventive treatments such as vaccinations nor neutralizations and dental treatments. Our patients are primarily sick animals that are either referred as emergency patients or referred for specialized examination/treatment.

Since the hospital is open 24-7, 365 days a year, one should expect to participate in a normal on-call rotation, which is however quite limited.

We are 60 colleagues and have a cozy and family-like tone, where we place social life and community high. Knowing that we spend a large part of life at work, we maintain a continuous focus on work/life balance and the mental as well as physical working environment. We are currently 18 veterinarians, most with a professional specialty, 26 nurses, of which many are professional VSPer, 12 VSP students, 1 sterilization assistant, 1 animal keeper, as well as 1 administrative employee and of course our hospital director. In addition, we employ 8 external on-call veterinarians and 10 external on-call VSPs.
