About Unit 02

We are part of the Psychiatric Department Vejle and primarily treat patients with affective disorders. Milieu therapy is a central part of our treatment, and we work systematically with relationships, structure, activities and communities as therapeutic tools.

Many of our patients struggle with self-harm, and we work purposefully to create safe frames that support coping, hope and recovery.

We aim to be among the leading providers in treating people with self-harm and affective disorders. Therefore we continuously work with professional development, reflection and competence development, so that we constantly become better at helping the patients who need us the most.

We prioritize physical activity, sensory stimulation and nature-based activities as part of the treatment, because we know that well-being and recovery are supported by more than medication.

We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration when different professional perspectives meet with respect, curiosity and a common focus on the patient’s goals.

Our culture

A good treatment environment starts with a good working environment.

Therefore we work according to a few simple principles

  • No one should come to harm
  • I am responsible for my nearest 3 meters
  • What I walk past I accept
  • A good working environment is created in collaboration
  • We meet each other with courage and consideration
