About the job

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated social worker/social facilitator for the welfare benefits area. Your primary focus will be casework for citizens over 30 who have been assessed as requiring activity. This means you will meet people who, in addition to unemployment, face complex physical, mental, or social challenges – often a combination of these.

Are you driven by achieving results through close and trusting collaboration with citizens who find themselves in a vulnerable position far from the labour market? Then it might be you we are looking for.

We can offer an exciting and challenging job where the business-oriented effort is in focus. In daily work we use our extensive knowledge of labour market needs, the education system and upskilling opportunities to create concrete and relevant pathways to work or education for the individual citizen.

You will be employed in the Center for Citizens & Employment in Stevns Municipality. You will become part of a fantastic workplace and a well-functioning team of 14 employees – Team Job & Rehabilitation.

Team Job & Rehabilitation deals with several different target groups – sickness benefit, job clarification, resource pathways, flex jobs/unemployment benefits and activity-eligible welfare recipients over 30.

Your core task will be to support welfare recipients on welfare to get closer to the labour market based on a resource-oriented conversation. You will work systematically with progression in the citizen's journey and plan the intervention based on each individual’s situation and resources. This includes close collaboration with companies on, among other things, small jobs, company internships and gentle frameworks that ensure a realistic and sustainable path to employment.

You will have a job where you have great influence on your tasks and where the work is exciting and varied. The management structure is relatively flat and emphasis is placed on openness, motivation and dialogue. You will have opportunities for professional development, courses etc. In the near future all employees will undergo a development/training process as a consequence of the reform.

Your tasks will primarily consist of company-oriented follow-up conversations with welfare recipients on welfare, where the goal is to clarify and develop work capacity. You will work closely with local employers to establish and follow up on company internships and small jobs. The job requires a strong interdisciplinary effort, where you collaborate across departments as well as with external actors such as doctors, psychiatry and treatment systems. Together with the citizen you plan a close, business-oriented and holistic intervention that supports a stable path to the labour market.

At the Center for Citizens & Employment we place a high priority on a strong professional and social working environment. Across our teams and departments we are good at helping each other in daily life, and we greet each other with a positive approach and plenty of humor. We prioritise good collegiality and community in the centre, and there are plenty of opportunities to participate in social activities both during and outside working hours.

You will get a job with the possibility of homeworking and the physical workplace is at City Hall Square 4, 4660 St. Heddinge. The station is a 5-minute walk from here.

We imagine that our new colleague

  • Is educated as a social worker, social facilitator or has another relevant educational background.
  • Can apply the law securely and translate employment policy intentions into a professionally well-founded and guided intervention.
  • Is strong in company-oriented cooperation and can motivate companies to establish small jobs, company internships and gentle frameworks.
  • Active use of knowledge about labour market gaps as well as education and upskilling opportunities to actively show the citizen new paths.
  • Has good communication and presentation skills that can be used in both difficult conversations and in written documentation.
  • Is administratively strong, works systematically with progression and can keep track of own cases.
  • Thrives in a changing everyday life and maintains professional overview, calm and respect for the individual when faced with complex problems.
  • Is a true team player who contributes to a good working environment with humor and commitment, and who can build strong relationships across departments.

Salary and employment

The working hours are 37 hours per week. Employment from 1 January 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.
