About the job

Join a specialized and interdisciplinary team! Do you want to make a real difference for people with acquired brain injury? Are you looking to work with rehabilitation at a specialized level, close interdisciplinary collaboration and a daily work life where professionalism, structure and relationships go hand in hand? Then it may be you we are looking for.

A workplace in exciting development

We are seeking occupational therapists for permanent positions in our unit for rehabilitation at a specialized level, physically located at Bytoften. The positions are available to fill from December 1, 2026.

We are in the midst of an exciting development, where the specialized area according to the Health Reform is transferred from the municipality to the region on January 1, 2027. This means you will become part of an organization in change – with the opportunity to shape your professional imprint, contribute to the development of specialized neurorehabilitation and be part of an important journey for citizens, employees and partners.

About the department

We work with citizens after completing a hospital stay, where the length of stay depends on each citizen's development potential – typically a program of about three months. In rehabilitation we strive for the individual citizen to become active and participating in their future life based on their own resources, wishes and needs as well as in close collaboration with relatives.

You will be part of a dynamic, engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social and health care assistants, neuropsychologist, speech therapist and chief physician. We work purposefully and specialized with rehabilitation plans for the individual citizen and focus on supporting citizens in becoming active participants in their own lives.

Your tasks As an occupational therapist you work with treatment and rehabilitation of citizens with traumatic brain injury, which can have both physical and cognitive consequences. We also have a strong focus on interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration.

  • Treatment and rehabilitation of citizens with complex issues after acquired brain injury
  • Development and follow-up of individual rehabilitation plans based on the citizen's resources and goals
  • Close collaboration with citizens, relatives and interdisciplinary colleagues
  • Contribution to cross-sector collaboration around the good citizen pathway

About you

We are looking for someone who

  • Is professionally engaged, curious and wants to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex problems in a rehabilitative daily life.
  • Are interested in, and preferably have experience with, neurorehabilitation as well as complex pathways.
  • Sees neuro-pedagogical strategies as a natural part of the task.
  • Has good collaboration skills, thrives in team collaboration, seeks sparring and values interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Is proactive and able to plan and prioritize own tasks independently.
  • Communicates and conveys clearly both verbally and in writing and thrives in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
  • Moves effortlessly between mono-disciplinary and interdisciplinary tasks, even when daily life requires rapid shifts. At the same time you actively contribute to a good working environment with your interdisciplinary colleagues.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but not a requirement, as rehabilitation for some citizens will also take place in the citizen's own home.

What can you expect?

With us you enter a workplace where professionalism and human closeness go hand in hand. We offer:

  • A close interdisciplinary collaboration with the citizen at the center and the opportunity to closely follow citizens' development.
  • A thorough introduction program with professional guidance, supervision and competence development in relevant tasks.
  • A varied daily life with professional challenges and a focus on quality and evidence-based practice.
  • A good working environment with psychological safety, engaged colleagues, good mood and room for togetherness.

Do you want to help set the standard for specialized neurorehabilitation? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
