At the Residential Facilities Studievej 19 we are looking for social- and health assistants who want to become part of a small and close-knit community where both residents and colleagues know each other well.

The residential facilities at Studievej 19 consist of the sheltered housing and respite care facility Violen and the residential facility Ungdomshøjskolen. Which is part of a management area Botilbud Nord which further comprises Studievej 15 and Valmuehaven.

At the Violen residential facility there are 13 residents and at Ungdomshøjskolen 12 residents with permanently reduced physical and mental function. What they all share is that the residents need extensive support in daily life – and that is precisely why the relationships become strong and meaningful. Here there is room to be close, to get to know each resident, and to make a difference that is felt every day.

You will be part of a daily life where healthcare and pedagogical work go hand in hand. The tasks range broadly and provide opportunities to use and develop your competences in, among other things, respiration, tube feeding, epilepsy and other complex issues. At the same time you are present in the small and large moments in the residents' lives – whether it is outings, shared experiences or a pleasant moment in homely surroundings.

About the position

The residential facilities at Studievej 19 are centrally located in Nørresundby, with good bus connections.

The positions are 37 hours per week with working hours distributed across rotating day and evening shifts.

You will as a starting point be included in a work schedule with every second weekend. If you wish to work every third weekend, we offer this when/if staffing and the schedule allow. We value dialogue and flexibility highly and strive, where possible, to accommodate individual preferences.

If you want to work every third weekend, it implies longer shifts during the working weekends to ensure that similar hours are worked on weekends as if you worked every other weekend.

As a social and health assistant you will have a central role in the health professional work. You are responsible for medication management and contribute to ensuring a high professional quality in collaboration with your colleagues. At the same time you are a natural part of the pedagogical efforts and the daily rhythm in the house.

You will among other things work with

• medication management and dosing
• health documentation (we use Cura – you will receive training with us)
• collaboration with doctors and other health professionals
• sparring and knowledge sharing with colleagues
• participation in scheduled meetings with other health professional colleagues in the house

There will also be an opportunity to take on a mentor role for SSA students – and if you do not already have the mentoring qualification, we will of course ensure that you get it.

We imagine that you

are trained as a social- and health assistant and thrive with both independence and collaboration. You have a natural calm and are good at building trust in your relationships – with residents, relatives and colleagues.

You work with a holistic view of the person and have a rehabilitative and health-promoting approach. At the same time you want to bring your professional expertise into play and help develop the health-professional level in the house.

Salary and employment terms follow the current collective agreement between KL and the unionised negotiating organization.
