We are looking for trainees and apprentices for Det Faglige Hus's unemployment insurance fund in Esbjerg

We offer you an exciting trainee program of 18 months or a 2-year apprenticeship in the unemployment fund payout in Esbjerg, starting March 1, 2027. You will work with paying out unemployment benefits to our unemployed members.

What you can look forward to

• You will have great influence and responsibility in the job.
• You will receive a good salary during the training. As a trainee you will earn 23,000 DKK per month for the first 12 months and 25,000 DKK for the last 6 months. As an apprentice you will earn 19,000 DKK per month in the first year and 20,000 DKK per month in the last year.
• You will have attractive employment terms - e.g. 7 weeks of vacation + 6 fixed days off, 18% employer-paid pension, paid breaks and a 4% flexible-benefits scheme.
• There is a high chance you can become a permanent employee after the trainee – or the apprenticeship period.
• You will have the opportunity to build a career as, for example, an a-kasse consultant, team coordinator, super user or specialist.

About the job

We offer an exciting trainee and apprentice program where you will take on many different tasks when you help and guide our members who register as unemployed and apply for unemployment benefits. The job consists of a good mix of member contact and case processing.

We have planned the trainee and apprentice program to be a blend of legal presentations, buddy training and independent work. You will become part of an experienced, professional team with high professionalism and a strong sense of community, characterized by humor and an informal tone. You can expect strong support from good colleagues, most of whom have themselves gone through a trainee program.

During the trainee and apprentice program you will progressively take on more and more responsibility, and eventually you will be able to handle all the tasks our a-kasse consultants have.

This means you can process the members’ applications for unemployment benefits and assess, evaluate and decide whether the members are entitled to payment. You will also handle ongoing phone and written contact with unemployed members until they are back in work. Throughout the unemployment period you will be able to administer the unemployment benefits and adjust when a new situation arises.

Who are you?

We would love to hear from you if you want administrative work, are service-minded and enjoy working with numbers and statutes. You also need to be able to speak English.

We do not require a specific education for applying as a trainee. You can be a recent graduate with, for example, an economics or bachelor’s degree, or you can have relevant work experience and a desire to change branches.

If you are applying for an apprenticeship, you must have passed or expect to pass one of these educations:

• EUX commercial
• HHX
• STX, HF, HTX including 5 weeks EUS
• HG2/HGV or HGS with qualifications for the office education with specializations.

During the apprenticeship there will be a number of study periods at Rybners in Esbjerg over the two years, ending with a trade exam.
