About the job

Be part of setting the direction for a school with strong communities and high ambitions

Are you passionate about creating good participation opportunities for all children? Do you believe that strong relationships, visible leadership and a shared direction are essential for a well-functioning school? Do you want to become part of a leadership team where you have real opportunities to influence both tasks, collaboration and the school's ongoing development?

Then you may be our new deputy principal at Fløng School.

A modern rural school with strong communities

Fløng School is a modern rural school in Høje-Taastrup Municipality with about 700 students spread across general classes, reception classes, a special track and an attractive after-school program (SFO).

With us you will encounter a school characterized by commitment, high professionalism and strong communities. We work every day to create the best conditions for children's learning, well-being and development, and we believe that all children should experience themselves as valuable participants in the community.

We have engaged staff, active parents and a close collaboration with the local community and our many partners.

Become part of a developing leadership team

You will become part of a relatively new leadership team that in recent years has worked purposefully to create stability, job satisfaction, clear direction and shared development.

Your primary area of responsibility will be the middle grades, but the portfolio of tasks will be defined in dialogue with the right candidate, with regard to competencies, interests and the school's overall needs. You will therefore have the opportunity to influence both your own area of responsibility and the development of our shared leadership practice.

We are seeking a deputy principal who is close to the school's day-to-day life and present among children, staff and parents. You are curious about practice, follow up on agreements and decisions and contribute to creating alignment between visions and actions.

At the same time you can build commitment around common goals and development processes. You know that results are created through relationships, dialogue, clarity and inclusion, and you manage to bring people together around shared ambitions for the school's development.

Your tasks

The tasks will include

  • Staff management, professional sparring and support for staff development
  • Leadership of pedagogical, didactic and organizational development processes
  • Coordination of the school's daily operations and follow-up on joint initiatives
  • Collaboration with parents, multidisciplinary partners and other stakeholders
  • Development of strong learning communities and participation opportunities for all children.

We are looking for a deputy principal who

  • Is trained as a teacher and has leadership experience from the school sector
  • Exhibits visible and presence-based leadership and is strong in relationship work
  • Can set a clear direction and create buy-in around common goals
  • Works in a structured way and has an eye for both people, organization and results
  • Communicates clearly, builds trust and follows through on decisions
  • Can create good conditions for employees' professional collaboration and contribute to a good working environment
  • Is curious, reflective and motivated by development
  • Has—or desires—a diploma in leadership.
  • Thrives in close collaboration with staff, children, parents and management colleagues.

We offer

  • A school with engaged and skilled staff
  • A daily life marked by high professionalism and strong relationships
  • A new and ambitious leadership team focusing on collaboration and joint development
  • Opportunity to influence both your own area of responsibility and the school's further development
  • A strong leadership community across the municipality's schools
  • A workplace where well-being, professionalism and communities go hand in hand.

Do you want to join?

We are looking for a leader who wants to be close to the school's everyday life, be an active partner in the school's development and contribute to creating the best conditions for children, staff and communities.

We look forward to hearing from you!
