We are looking for an engaged colleague for a permanent position of 34 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027, or as soon as possible.

Who are we?

FOA Sydfyn is a union with about 4,000 members who every day do their best for FOA's trade groups.

We are based in Svendborg, but cover regional, municipal and private workplaces across all of South Funen. We are 13 employees who work closely together in a fast-paced everyday life with lots of contact with people and an informal tone. There is room here for professionalism, laughter and good collegial relationships.

We believe that by being proactive, helpful and inspiring, we make a difference together.

What will you do?

As an organizer you will be an important part of the work to strengthen FOA Sydfyn's organizing and ensure that new employees at South Funen workplaces receive the right pay and know the opportunities of being part of a trade union community.

A central part of your work takes place through the FOA model , which is FOA's digital approach to pay placement and organizing of new employees. Here you will work closely with the shop stewards to ensure correct pay placement, contact with new employees and invitation to community.

Your tasks will include

• Working on pay placement of new employees through the FOA model.
• Supporting and sparring with shop stewards and central shop stewards about pay placement and organizing.
• Contacting new employees and potential members and telling them about the benefits of being part of FOA.
• Planning and carrying out workplace visits and participating in school visits.
• Contributing to the development of FOA Sydfyn's organizing efforts.

Who are you?

• Are interested in working to ensure the best possible pay and employment conditions
• Work in a structured way and have an eye for detail when it comes to pay placement and case handling.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Are highly proficient with IT and quick to learn new systems.
• Hold a category B driving license and can provide a car. Travel is reimbursed according to state rates.
• Want to be part of the labor movement and can see yourself in FOA's values.

Working hours: 34 hours per week.

Employment: Permanent employment.

Start date: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
