About the job

Are you a trained lawyer with an interest in personnel law? And are you good at advising and guiding managers on the interpretation of legislation, strategic actions, and concrete personnel cases? Would you like to help make your mark on a lively workplace where we set the professional bar high – while prioritizing community and well-being? Then it may be you who should be part of our personnel-law team!

Albertslund is a green municipality with big ambitions. We are proud of our municipality, and we strive in our tasks and initiatives for citizens, associations and businesses. We are one municipality and one organisation. We have engaged and capable employees and a collaborative culture that crosses departments and levels. That makes Albertslund Municipality a good place to work.

Your new daily life

You will work together with three other lawyers who are specialists in the field of personnel law and who are excited to acclimate you to the exciting tasks the position contains. We are busy, and therefore we are increasing the staffing in the area with an additional position.

Personnel law is part of the HR & Payroll unit, which altogether consists of 15 employees.

The ambitions and the professional level are high, and we contribute to solving many daily operational tasks as well as large strategic agendas in the municipality. We place emphasis on professional sparring on our tasks, but we also have main responsibility in each of our fields. If you are not already an expert – then we are happy to teach you what you need.

What you can expect from us

  • Exciting and challenging operational tasks close to the political level and in collaboration with top management.
  • Professionally engaged colleagues who collaborate and spar with each other, continuously developing our knowledge and competencies.
  • Colleagues who place community and job satisfaction high.
  • An organisation with an open and welcoming atmosphere, where networks and partnerships are a natural part of solving tasks.
  • An workplace where we support each other and there is strong backing for social events.
  • A family-friendly workplace with good opportunities for flexible work arrangements and home working.

Your tasks

You will have your own area of responsibility for a number of workplaces, where you are the management's closest sparring partner regarding all personnel-law matters. The main focus of the tasks will be personnel-law advisory, which mainly includes:

  • General guidance on and interpretation of legislation, collective agreements, personnel policies and pre-agreements.
  • Assistance to specific managers on selected strategic actions, e.g., sick leave.
  • Advice in connection with concrete personnel cases.
  • Advice and case processing in cases concerning employment-law reactions, including participation in conversations and negotiations.
  • Preparing party statements and decisions
  • Participating in work on renewing pre-agreements and working-time agreements.
  • Participating in the preparation of policies and guidelines in the personnel area.
  • Advice, servicing and preparation of cases and notes etc. to the Finance Committee, Municipal MED, and Director and Chief Forum.

About you

  • You are educated cand.jur. or have an equivalent master's degree. It is an advantage, but not essential, if you have experience in individual employment law, labor law and administrative law.
  • It is not so important for us where your experience comes from, but it is important that you can stand on your own two feet and, with assertiveness and inclusivity, can deliver sharp and qualified management support.
  • You have good communication skills and convey your messages clearly and simply.
  • You are persistent, proactive and have an overview.
  • You are a team player, but can also work independently with a view to the whole and to finding solutions.

Salary and employment terms

The position is full-time and on collective agreement terms. Salary placement is negotiated between the municipality and the negotiating organisation.

As part of Albertslund Municipality's recruitment policy, we promote diversity and equality. It is a condition of your employment at Albertslund Municipality that you have a valid work and residence permit.

Albertslund Municipality supports positively the full-time effort in accordance with the Tripartite Agreement on Pay and Working Conditions, and the municipality therefore hires as the general rule at 37 hours.

Albertslund Municipality has a smoke-free working environment.

The application deadline is 30 November 2026. We will hold 1st interviews on 7 December and 2nd interviews on 10 December.

Expected start date is 1 February 2027.
