The Business- and Leisure-time Job Ambassador builds a bridge between young people and the business sector

Næstved Municipality has a strong focus on ensuring that young people obtain a youth education, as it can be the path to wellbeing, education and work.

The business sector can be a strong contributor to inspiring, motivating and giving a young person the tools to create their own future.

At Næstved Erhverv A/S, over the last 1½ years we have built a strong effort that creates leisure-time jobs for young people in local companies. The effort is anchored digitally at www. Faaetfritidsjob.dk.

Our current business- and leisure-time job ambassador has sought new challenges, so now we are looking for a new business- and leisure-time job ambassador who can take the initiative to the next level.

What does the role involve?

Your everyday life will be characterized by close collaboration with actors in the education system and an outreach effort aimed at the local business community.

You will be the companies' guide to the possibilities of engaging with a young person, and you will be the young people’s guide in choosing the right leisure-time job or traineeship.

Your main tasks will be

• Outreach contact to local companies to identify their needs and interests in engaging in a leisure-time job for a young person.
• Concrete and hands-on matchmaking between company and youth in collaboration with the municipality, schools, educational institutions and other relevant actors.
• Ongoing individual follow-up with companies and young people to ensure good processes and lasting results.
• Close collaboration and coordination with a wide range of partners to develop the best offers for young people and companies.
• Develop the initiative based on evaluations, so we continually create value and the best possible framework for success in the collaboration.
• Increase awareness of the initiative among both companies and youth through presentations, campaigns and other networking activities.

Who are you?

We are first and foremost looking for the right person. Your education and background are less important. Perhaps you come from the business sector, the employment field, the education world or something completely different.

The most important is that you have a strong drive and are good with people. You are outgoing, engaged, curious and ambitious. You build trust, build relationships and are motivated by making a difference.

You thrive with a large personal responsibility and are motivated to be the central driving force in an established effort. You naturally take ownership, follow things through and gain energy from creating results through outreach work, strong relationships and collaborations.

If you have knowledge of the labor market field and preferably insight into rules and conditions around the employment of young people, that is a plus, but not a requirement.

It is about a 5-minute walk from Næstved Station, but it would be an advantage to have a car available, as you will have many meetings outside the office.
