My name is Annika, I’m 47 years old and live in a lovely house in Greve with my husband, my 18-year-old daughter, and the house’s two small bosses on four legs 🐶🐶 (Maltesers – so you must be on good terms with dogs).

My hands have unfortunately chosen early retirement, and my legs are not the great workhorses they used to be. Therefore I’m looking for an assistant who can be my extra arms and legs – and an important part of my fantastic helper team.

What is the job about? You will help me with, among other things

🚗 Drive me around in my car (yes, a B driving license is a must!)

🛁 Personal care

🍽️ Help with meals

🏡 Light cleaning in the rooms I use

🌞 Outings into the blue – or just a spin around Greve in my electric wheelchair

🌞 Little bonus info (or warning 😄): I love going out!

When the sun shines, I like to go on adventures in my electric wheelchair. That means you must enjoy being active and be able to keep up with long walks or bike rides beside me.

We’re not just talking a quick walk around the block – on a good summer day you can easily accumulate 15,000–18,000 steps. So you don’t necessarily need a gym membership… the job offers plenty of opportunity for exercise 😉🚶♀️🚲

So if you love fresh air, great outings, a little chat along the way, and an active workday – we’ll surely get along very well.

But don’t worry… you don’t have to be my shadow 24/7. You also need to master the art of being the famous “fly on the wall” – know when you should be there, and when you should step back and manage things yourself a bit while I rest.

Who are you?

✔ Has a B driving license

✔ Punctual (for I’m unfortunately not the type who can manage alone if the alarm clock fails 😅)

✔ Flexible

✔ Has a good mood and enjoys a workplace with laughter, honesty and a good chat

Shifts

⏰ Day: 08.30–14.00

🌆 Evening: 17.30–21.30

🌙 Night: 21.30–08.30

This is a part-time position of about 26 hours per week with start as soon as possible.

This is not just a job where you clock in and clock out. You’ll become part of my everyday life, a strong helper team and a workplace where we look after each other, speak openly and also enjoy laughing together.

You will, as a disability helper, become part of a good, flexible and essential team of disability helpers that together cover all shifts year-round. The job takes place in the citizen’s own home, for leisure activities, social events and the excursions the citizen would like to participate in.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Driving license
• Have respect – and understanding for working in a private home
• Able to tolerate dogs

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Full-time
