Ward 10 inpatient ward seeks a social- and health care assistant who would like to work with people with psychotic disorders, Department of Psychoses, Aarhus University Hospital (AUH)

Are you a trained social- and health assistant? Are you passionate about working with people with psychotic disorders? Then it is you we are looking for. We need an engaged and motivated social- and health assistant who wants to become part of our team.

There is talk of a permanent position, 37 hours/week with mixed shifts and weekend shifts every 2nd weekend. If you would like a different number of hours, we would also like to hear from you.

In Ward Section 10 we are passionate about our specialty and the work with our patients, who primarily suffer from psychoses in various forms. We have a special function to receive patients connected to OPUS, which means that we have many younger and newly diagnosed patients with schizophrenia and schizotypy.

We are a department consisting of several different professional groups with a strong interdisciplinary community among both nursing staff, doctors and psychologists, where we each bring our professional competencies into the patient pathways. We always work closely together for the good patient pathway, with a focus on patient-centered care and treatment, environmental therapeutic measures and the Safe Wards principles to reduce the use of coercion. We have several exciting initiatives you can become an active participant in on the ward, including improvement work and quality development.

The individual employee's professional development, well-being and the work environment are highly prioritized, and there is always an opportunity for support and sparring with colleagues and management, and ongoing supervision is held, facilitated by our clinical psychologist.

As a new employee in Ward 10 you will be well prepared, and receive a thorough introduction to the ward's workflows and daily structures. You will be enrolled in relevant courses such as de-escalation and gentle use of force. You will be connected to a mentor, whom you will follow in the initial period and who will hold conversations with you regularly, just as your immediate supervisor will also follow your development via conversations.

We generally prioritize education and development – also in the future when you become more experienced.
