About the job

Would you like a meaningful job where you make a difference for others – and at the same time gain strong experience for your CV or for your current or upcoming studies?

Bakkehuset, teams 1 and 2 are looking for new staff both as on-call substitutes or as a permanent weekend replacement. With us you get the opportunity to work with people, develop professionally and be part of a committed team that every day creates safety, well-being and quality of life for our residents.

Bakkehuset is a specialized residential facility for adults with significant and lasting reduced physical and mental functioning. The residents require support with all daily tasks. Several of our residents have accompanying disabilities such as epilepsy, spasticity, and communication difficulties.

Team 1 and 2 consist of a lovely group of residents who – in addition to their developmental disabilities – often need support in health-related tasks.

We work with pedagogical and relationship-building approaches, where small progress, moments of joy and presence mean everything. As a new employee you will of course receive thorough training.

What will your role be?

As part of our team you will

  • Support the residents in everyday life – both practically and socially.
  • Contribute to activities, social interaction and good experiences.
  • Engage in personal care, transfers and health-related tasks
  • Work based on pedagogical methods such as KRAP and ROR – you will of course be trained.

We are looking for you who

  • Are caring and present – both towards residents and colleagues.
  • Are adaptable and thrive in a daily life where no day is the same.
  • Can see the value in relationship work and take joy in small progress.
  • Want to learn new things – both professionally and personally.
  • Are interested in gaining experience in e.g., pedagogy, physiotherapy, nursing, psychology, social work or similar.
  • Are ready to contribute in a team that highly values moments of joy, resident well-being and quality of life.

The position is ideal for you who want a student job, or would like to try your hand at working with people with disabilities.

We offer

  • A workplace with high professionalism and a strong collegial community.
  • Thorough training and opportunity to develop new competencies.
  • Experience you can use in your studies or future career.
  • Flexible shifts, both on-call and fixed weekend shifts.
  • A meaningful job where you really make a difference.

Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis.
