About the job

Would you like to help develop and implement welfare technology that makes a difference in elder care?

More elderly citizens and new requirements for task solving impose great demands on how we develop and organize the future of elderly care. Welfare technology will become a decisive part of the solution and holds possibilities for supporting citizens' independence, strengthening professional quality, and creating good conditions for employees' work. It requires that we find solutions that make sense for both citizens and employees, and get them to work in practice.

We are therefore looking for a welfare technology consultant with a nursing background. We are looking for you who can see the possibilities in new technology, drive the development of a shared welfare technology strategy, and translate the opportunities into solutions that work in practice.

About the job

You will be part of Quality and Education in the Center for Elder Life and Rehabilitation. Here we work with quality, professional development and competence development across the elderly care sector.

A central task will be to drive the development of a common strategy for welfare technology. You will help identify needs, investigate new possibilities, and stay updated on the latest developments in welfare technology, so that we can identify solutions that are relevant for elderly care. At the same time, you will set the direction for the work and facilitate processes where relevant managers and employees are involved, and different perspectives are gathered around a common path forward.

You will also help translate the strategy into action. This involves testing and implementing relevant technologies in collaboration with managers and employees, and following up on whether the solutions work as intended. You will therefore have a broad contact surface across both the center and the rest of the municipality and an important role in ensuring that new solutions are anchored in practice.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • develop a common welfare technology strategy for the elderly sector and follow up on how it is translated into practice
  • stay updated on the latest developments in welfare technology and identify relevant solutions and opportunities for the elderly sector
  • identify needs and explore possibilities for new welfare technological solutions
  • plan and facilitate development processes in collaboration with managers and employees
  • coordinate testing and implementation of relevant technologies across, e.g., home care, care centers and rehabilitation
  • support teaching and competence development in connection with new solutions
  • follow up on experiences and assess what difference the solutions make in practice
  • collaborate with relevant colleagues, IT, suppliers and other partners.

There may also be tasks involving digital care systems, including Nexus.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a trained nurse or have another relevant health professional background. You have experience with welfare technology and can see the possibilities of using technology to support professional task solving in elderly care.

It is important that you have experience facilitating development processes and can create progress from the first ideas and needs to concrete solutions. You must be able to involve relevant professional fields, create a common direction and support that new solutions are developed and anchored in practice.

Additionally, we emphasize that you

  • can create an overview and set the direction for development work
  • are good at collaborating and building relationships across professional groups and organizational levels
  • can communicate technological possibilities in a way that makes sense for managers and employees
  • work in a structured manner and follow up tasks to the end
  • are curious, investigative and have an eye for both possibilities and limitations of new technologies
  • want to get close to practice and understand the needs that the solutions must meet.

Experience with project management, implementation or teaching will be an advantage. The same applies to knowledge of Nexus.

What do we offer?

You will have the opportunity to influence an area in development and help determine how we will work with welfare technology in elderly care in the future. You will play a central role in developing the strategy and translating it into concrete initiatives that can make a difference for citizens and employees.

You will have a varied day-to-day life with both development work, cross-department collaboration and concrete tasks with testing and implementation. You will also have the opportunity to apply your health professional experience in new ways and develop your competencies within welfare technology and process consulting.

You will be part of Quality and Education, where we support each other, share knowledge and help each other to achieve tasks. We value an informal working environment with good humor and room for both professional deepening and a chat over coffee.

Your primary workplace is Langgade 57 in Stege, but you should expect meetings and activities around the municipality. We value flexibility in daily work, where the work is planned based on tasks and in dialogue with your leader.
