We are seeking an experienced leader for the municipal part of Plejecenter Christians Have and the Rehabilitation Department. You will be responsible for a large 24/7 operation at a time when the sector faces significant changes.

It is a leadership position with weight. You must ensure that finances, staffing, quality and the working environment fit together, and create the best framework for your team leaders to succeed. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to make a clear mark on the future of Christians Have.

In 2027 the nursing home will be expanded with 45 new care places, of which 25 will be municipal. The Municipal Home Care and Nursing moves into the newly built building, and 17 of the Rehabilitation Department's 24 places will transfer to regional authority and financing responsibility, but must continue to be operated by Solrød Municipality.

Christians Have thus becomes, to an even greater extent, a meeting point for the municipality’s elderly and health initiatives, and you will play a central role in shaping both the organization and the new collaborations.

A large welfare task within a framework with special opportunities

Plejecenter Christians Have is Solrød Municipality’s only nursing home with a total of 142 places. The municipal part of the nursing home currently houses 80 care beds, and the Rehabilitation Department has 24 places.

You will lead four group leaders – three at the nursing home and one at the Rehabilitation Department, three nurses, one administrative employee, one activity worker, and one green pedagogue. In addition, you will have overall responsibility for around 150 employees consisting of unskilled staff, SSHs and SSAs.

Plejecenter Christians Have also contains a private section with 62 care beds. You will not have management responsibility for it, but good cross-collaboration is important for the overall Christians Have. The nursing home has attractive outdoor areas including a sensory and training garden, which provides special opportunities for activity, rehabilitation, community and quality of life in residents’ daily lives.

Your task is to ensure operation with high professional quality, continuity and responsible finances. It requires that you care about people as well as governance and can move between long-term development and the situations where operations require clear decisions here and now.

You succeed through your leaders

Your most important leadership task is to create the framework for your four group leaders to succeed. You set the direction, establish clear expectations and follow up, while giving the leaders real managerial space.

You must be close enough to the organization to understand what is happening, while also maintaining the overview that allows you to see the whole. You can delegate without letting go of responsibility and make decisions when needed.

Collaboration with residents, rehabilitation residents, relatives and staff is also an important part of the leadership task. This also applies when needs and expectations differ. In addition, internal and external partners are an important part of the task, including the Rehabilitation Center, the Admissions office, Day Care and Prevention, as well as the municipality’s doctors, especially the doctors associated with the nursing homes.

2027 will be an important year

The 25 new municipal care beds must be integrated into a well-functioning nursing home. This requires a focus on organization, recruitment, competencies, culture, professionalism and workflows.

At the same time, the Municipal Home Care and Nursing moves onto the site. Together with your fellow managers you will have an important task in translating the new physical proximity into stronger collaboration and greater coherence across the nursing home, rehabilitation, home care and nursing.

At the Rehabilitation Department, new forms of cooperation with the region must be developed around the 17 places that transfer to regional authority and financing responsibility. The task is to develop the new model and ensure stability and quality for citizens and staff along the way.

Who are you?

You have a relevant health or social care education and substantial leadership experience from a larger operations organization. The crucial thing is that you can achieve results through others and take overall responsibility for people, finances, quality and operations. You have experience leading leaders or otherwise relevant leadership experience through others.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the 24-hour sector, elderly care, nursing home or rehabilitation and with financial management, organizational changes or a politically led organization.

We do not expect you to be able to tick everything off. Instead, we expect managerial weight, curiosity about the task and a desire to both take responsibility for operations and shape long-term development.

Practical information

The position is to be filled by December 1, 2026.

Salary and employment are according to the applicable collective agreement with possibility for negotiation based on qualifications. The salary range is 55,000–65,000 DKK depending on education, qualifications and experience. Pension is included.
