Would you like to be part of a small team around a happy and active boy who needs structure and caring presence in his daily life?

About the task

You will be part of a fixed team around a 14-year-old boy with autism and significant functional impairments. He is very active and thrives best in the company of caring adults who can create clear boundaries and follow him closely in the activities. He loves solving puzzles, watching YouTube, and going for walks to local playgrounds.

The boy is nonverbal, but understands both Danish and Turkish and expresses himself through pictograms and pictures. When you are out, you must keep your attention focused on him at all times, as he can suddenly run away or move out onto the road.

There is a need for help with personal care, as he uses a diaper.

You can easily reach the family’s home by public transport. The family lives about a 15-minute walk from Taastrup Station, and there are also bus connections close to the home.

About you

You are a trained pedagog or unskilled with relevant experience with children or young people with autism. You work in a structured way, are physically active and can be present and attentive in the company of the boy.

It is important that you do not have pets at home, as the family is allergic.

If you are a skilled professional, you are paid according to your education.

Working hours

The position is 20 - 24 hours per week.

The working hours consist of

• Tuesday at 14:00 - 09:00 (the next day)
• Sunday at 11:45 - 09:00 (the next day)

Note that you will be in a training period at the start. Hours are gradually increased and you will move to a full schedule after 2 months.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the Danish Collective Agreement for handicapped assistance in the citizen’s own home (minus BPA) entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
