About the job

Do you have an eye for detail, financial understanding and the ability to meet people with respect and professionalism? Then you may be our new colleague in Thisted.

In the Debt Administration we are looking for engaged caseworkers who want to help make decisions for citizens in financially difficult situations. Here you get a job where professionalism, responsibility and human understanding go hand in hand, and where your efforts make a real difference.

A meaningful job with professional challenges

We help Denmark out of debt. We are the state’s collection agency. It is our promise to the outside world and describes the large and important societal task that the Debt Administration is set to solve. As employees we all help to turn the promise into reality.

In the relief area we handle cases of great significance for the individual citizen. Thorough and efficient case processing and correct decisions are essential, and as a caseworker you will be responsible for assessing the citizen’s overall financial and personal circumstances and making decisions on a legal basis. It requires good judgment and the ability to translate complex legislation into concrete assessments.

Good case processing is about more than statutes, as you will also be in dialogue with citizens who are often in a difficult life situation. Therefore, it is important that you can communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally, both by phone and in writing.

Professional pride, shared responsibility and strong collaboration

In the Debt Administration we believe that the best results are created in collaboration. Team spirit, professional pride and a sense of responsibility are a natural part of our culture. We help each other, share knowledge and cooperate to find good solutions based on applicable law.

You will become part of a professional environment where there is room for sparring, development and new perspectives. We focus on the quality of our task solving and on creating a workplace where employees thrive and develop.

We therefore seek a colleague who takes responsibility for their tasks, actively contributes to the community and wants to make themselves and their colleagues even more capable.

Who are you?

We imagine that you enjoy tasks that require thoroughness, overview and independent judgments. You work systematically, have an eye for detail and are able to see the individual case in a larger perspective. At the same time you can convey complex messages in a simple, understandable way. It is important to us that you both want to delve into the professional aspects and contribute to a good collaboration.

Your educational background could for example be

  • Professional Bachelor, Financial Economist, social worker or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • Office Assistant with internal training in the Tax Administration

The most important thing is that you want to bring your professional knowledge into play, take responsibility and contribute to an important societal task. It is an advantage if you have experience with case processing from other public authorities and knowledge of the rule of law, good administrative practices and legal processes.

We will of course ensure thorough training so you are well equipped to solve your tasks.
