About the job

Do you want to make a difference for Alexander, 6 years old? We are looking for a permanent helper of about 12 hours per week 💙

We are looking for a permanent helper for Alexander, 6 years old, who lives with his parents and two younger siblings in Valby.

Alexander is an active boy who can run, jump and play like other children his age. When he was 4 years old, he had a stroke in the brain, which has led to some cognitive challenges. He tires more easily, needs extra time to respond and can easily be distracted. Therefore we are looking for a present adult who can create calm and safe surroundings, while there is room for play, fun and cozy experiences.

What does the job involve?

You will become a fixed part of Alexander's daily life, where you among other things will pick him up from the institution, spend afternoons with him and come up with cozy activities both in and outside the home.

The most important is that you can meet Alexander at eye level and adapt the activities to his daily form and need for breaks.

There is no need for extensive personal care, but Alexander may need a little help after toilet visits. You will naturally meet and have contact with his siblings, but your responsibility is exclusively directed at Alexander.

Work hours and start

The position is about approximately 12 hours per week , divided into

Tuesday and Friday: 2.30 PM – 5.30 PM (6 hours per week).

Flexible coverage: 24 hours per month (about 6 hours per week), primarily on weekdays with the possibility of weekend shifts.

The flexible hours are planned in collaboration with the family, who are also happy to adjust them to your calendar.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are caring, calm and patient.
  • Have a desire to play, be creative and create good experiences.
  • Are good at reading children's needs and creating security.
  • Are stable and want to build a close and longer-term relationship with Alexander.

Experience with children with special needs is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you are the right person for Alexander and his family.

Application and contact

Apply for the position as soon as possible or before the deadline. We call for interviews continuously, so please write to us today.

If you have questions about the job, you are welcome to contact Jessica Marion Carstensen at mail [email protected]
