ZBC seeks head of education for the gymnasium in Slagelse

Would you as Head of Education help ensure that students have three academically and personally developing years at HHX and HTX?

Would you help create the framework and support academic achievement and community for young people at the technical and mercantile high school in Slagelse?

We are seeking a committed Head of Education who is passionate about high school students' learning, well-being and formation – and who wants to join a leadership team of three people.

As Head of Education you will be a central part of the daily management and play an important role in turning the school's strategy and visions into concrete practice, close to students and staff. You will help create a high school culture where academic rigour, community and well-being go hand in hand.

In short we are looking for someone who

• has a relevant academic education and teaching qualifications at upper secondary level.
• has solid pedagogical and didactic experience and a desire for both leadership and teaching.
• is administratively competent, works in a structured way, has a sense for details and shows due diligence.
• can be a visible, approachable and empathetic leader for students and staff.
• can lead and support teachers' pedagogical and didactic development.
• has a leadership qualification or wishes to complete one.

The management team currently consists of the principal and an experienced Head of Education. When we have found the right colleague for our leadership team, we will divide the tasks together. However, it will be a clear advantage if you can see yourself in some of the following tasks:

• planning the annual cycle for respectively HTX and HHX.
• participating in the development of subject distribution.
• follow-up on time reporting and conducting well-being conversations.
• planning and coordinating various cross-cutting activities, e.g. SO courses and SOP.
• teaching in one or more of your upper secondary school subjects, to a limited extent.
• handling student cases.
• following up on the quality and results of the programs and turning data into action.
• creating a close and constructive collaboration with staff, students, parents and external partners.

A little about ZBC’s high schools in Slagelse

In Slagelse we have two attractive upper secondary programs, the Business High School HHX and the Technical High School HTX, which together form a mid-sized high school with about 700 students and 60 staff.

Together with the principal, the heads of education set the framework so that our students experience three fantastic years! As a leader you should see the value in making it meaningful and rewarding for us all to come to work. We emphasize meeting the students at eye level and view humor, smiles and an informal tone as the basis for a good study and working environment at our high school.

Employment

The area of employment is ZBC, and your place of work will as a rule be Willemoesvej 4, 4200 Slagelse.

The appointment is in accordance with the state chief salary agreement with the possibility to negotiate the composition of the salary.

As an educational institution we will obtain a child-check/criminal record check in connection with a potential employment.
