Certificate
What does it mean?
A certificate (certifikat) is formal documentation that you have completed a training programme or met a professional standard. Examples include project management (PRINCE2, PMP), IT (AWS, Microsoft), safety courses and language tests.
Certificates signal commitment and specific skills to employers. They are especially valuable when changing career, entering regulated fields or competing for specialist roles.
Choose recognised providers and industry-relevant certifications. List certificates in a dedicated CV section with issuer, year and brief description of skills gained.
Distinguish certificates from degrees: they are typically shorter and more focused. Some roles require mandatory certification by law or collective agreement.
