What does it mean?
CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) covers voluntary initiatives where businesses address environmental sustainability, social impact, ethical supply chains, diversity and community engagement alongside profit goals.
Many Danish companies publish CSR or sustainability reports aligned with UN Global Compact or EU standards. ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is a related investor-focused framework.
For jobseekers, CSR can indicate values alignment, modern HR practices and long-term stability. Ask about sustainability and ethics in interviews if these matter to you.
Roles in CSR and sustainability are growing — communication, compliance, HR and specialist sustainability functions. Relevant skills include reporting, stakeholder engagement and regulatory knowledge (e.g. CSRD).
