CV

What does it mean?

CV (curriculum vitae) is your primary document in job applications, summarising contact details, profile, work experience, education, skills and optionally languages, certifications and interests.

Danish CVs are usually concise (1–2 pages), factual and reverse-chronological. Photo is optional; discrimination laws discourage requiring it. Cover letter (motiveret ansøgning) complements CV with motivation.

Tailor each CV to the job posting: mirror keywords, emphasise relevant experience and quantify achievements. ATS-friendly layout matters for larger employers.

Arbejd.com's CV builder helps create structured, ATS-optimised CVs and match content to job postings. Keep CV updated even when not actively searching.
