Operation and Intensive Care, Gødstrup Regional Hospital

• The region's largest cohesive operating suite with 26 operating rooms.
• The following surgical specialties: abdominal, orthopedics, urology, gynecology/obstetrics, ear-nose-throat, ophthalmology
• Approximately 19,000 anaesthesia services annually, of which pediatric anesthesia accounts for 1,400.
• Intensive care unit with 11 beds - about 1,100 patients annually.
• Approximately 3,000 deliveries per year. Epidural anesthesia rate is about 20%, cesarean section rate about 20%.
• Approximately 700 trauma calls annually and about 700 acute medical calls.
• Two emergency physician cars in the area. The car in Herning is fully integrated and the car in Holstebro is partially integrated into the department's operations.
• The research-responsible chief physician participates in the department's research committee.
• The medical staff currently consists of 36 specialists, 4 doctors in the final year of the main training and 5 doctors in introductory positions.

What we can offer

• Formalized airway skills program and dedicated daytime hours during the first 6 weeks.
• Block course with training in regional nerve blocks.
• It is expected that during employment you participate in research projects.
• 4 weeks of focused stay in the Intensive Care Unit with daytime hours and supervised ward rounds.
• Large volume of procedures, including spinal, epidural, central venous catheter (CVC) and participation in acute calls in the house.

Terms of employment

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement.

A trainee physician cannot be employed in more than one introductory position within anesthesiology.

Employment is conditional on an approved child-safety certificate.
