About the job

Are you passionate about making a difference for people with special needs? Do you have experience with adult citizens with autism and developmental disabilities, or do you want to bring your skills into a meaningful work environment? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

About the offering

We are a day service for 13 adult citizens with autism and developmental disabilities. The citizens all have extensive support needs, and our work always starts from the individual citizen's well-being, wishes, resources and needs.

We primarily work 1:1 with the citizens and place great emphasis on relationships, structure and predictability in daily life. At the same time, we are flexible and adaptable, as the citizens' day-to-day condition and needs can change.

We are looking for

A maternity leave replacement at 30 hours per week

  • An employment for approximately 1 year
  • Start in November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

An support assistant in a permanent position

  • The position is 37 hours per week. If a full-time position is not right for you, we are happy to discuss another number of hours
  • Start as soon as possible

A day-to-day life with us

A large part of our activities take place outdoors. We actively use nature and go on trips, experience sensory environments, visit churches and much more. The activities are planned based on the citizens' interests, wishes and current functional level.

Some citizens can at times be self-harming or become verbally/physically aggressive. Therefore we work with high professionalism, clear structure, task- and demand-leveling, and a focus on creating safe environments for the individual.

Although the activities are often relationship-based, it is crucial that the staff have insight into and respect for each citizen's structure and daily routines.

We offer

  • A workplace with high professionalism and strong commitment
  • A helpful and supportive team ready to help you get started
  • Meaningful work where you make a real difference in the citizens' daily lives
  • A daily life characterized by collaboration, development and presence

We are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00, also on weekdays between public holidays, for example between Christmas and New Year.

We expect you to

  • Have experience with the target group, for example from residential facilities, activity and social opportunities or sheltered employment
  • Be able to work in a structured and relationship-oriented manner
  • Be calm, patient and adaptable
  • Have good ethics and a strong human commitment
  • Be able to speak, understand and communicate clearly in Danish

It is not essential whether you are trained as a social educator or come with another relevant background. The most important is that you have the right personal and professional competences for the job.
